Well, I just saw The Shooter and I must say, why did I wait soooo long?? Great movie from beginning to end. Mark Wahlberg turns in a solid performance along with an excellent ensemble cast. Had me on the edge of my seat from the sort of botched, attempted assasination to cold blooded revenge in the end. Damn, doesn't it feel good when the good guys win!!! OOOOOOHAAAA!!!

Many reviewers have complained that the movie "Troy" is not completely true to the Iliad in portraying the characters and events of the Trojan War. This is unfair. Even in ancient times, the Iliad was not the only version of the Trojan War stories, and the Iliad which has come down to us may not be the only version that was performed. The Iliad only tells what happened in the space of 50 days in the 9th year of the war, although it alludes in passing to events that happened before and after these 50 days. Like the whole Camelot cycle which developed through the Dark and Middle Ages, the Trojan War cycle picked up and incorporated the best (and contradictory) legends over a millennium from Greece and Asia Minor. One of my favorite movies about mountain men and how they survived their harsh environment.Great acting by Charlton Heston & Brian Keith,would recommend to other viewers who enjoy this type of action/wilderness movies.

I enjoy Civil War history and decided to add this to my collection. While the programs themselves are enjoyable, I found myself scratching my head as to how this collection was put together. It's not a "new series" but contains episodes of both The History Channel's "Civil War Journal" and "Civil War Combat" which aired originally in the mid 90's. (Until recently these were often shown on THC in the early morning hours). THC also has a couple of different boxed sets of "Civil War Journal" and some of the episodes here are included. For whatever reason, though, it seems impossible to obtain the ENTIRE collection of this great series. Not your Disney flick here. Beautifully filmed and acted. A fairy tale for grown-ups / mature teens. Scary and romantic.

I don't know if I've ever seen a sequel that makes so many bad decisions so fast and so early in. Even before the opening titles were over, I had no idea how this film was going to win the viewer back. Face-huggers get loose in the ship escaping the second rousing film, ALIENS, do their dirty deeds, then die and bleed acid to breach the systems and hulls. The survivors are jettisoned without ever waking up. Newt, the adorable little girl from ALIENS, is killed. Michael Behn's heroic Marine--killed in the crash. The droid--tilt. All that's left is Sigourney Weaver and she crash lands on a dreary, dirty prison planet populated with dirty, repellent inmates. All of this in the first five minutes. Ugh. On top of all that, they shave Sigourney's hair off and turn one of her eyes blood red. Read More

I enjoy mysteries that surprise me. This one does! It gives you all the clues, but I seldom know "who done it". It's light and fun---enjoyable!!

Kind of makes you think about what could be if you could just forget living your everyday life style to live like a king. Isn't what its all what you think. They have so many rules and how you should act and so on. But its very entertaining to watch..I hop you will enjoy it as much as I did. And yes,they should be more relaxed and then it wouldn't be so hard to control the country.
