This is the same movie which used to always be shown on TV around xmas. It is a wonderful treat to be able to own this!

No matter what age you are you will enjoy these classics. I grew up watching these on tv and they still hold up today, unbelievable the time it must have took to do the animations for these and they still look great!

It was a wonderful treat to revisit Free to be You and Me! And a gentle reminder at how much we take for granted now in the realm of parenting and working. This was one of the first mass market efforts to show kids that mommies and daddies could move away from traditional jobs, that daddies were nurturers, that boys had feminine sides and girls masculine and that differences were something to be celebrated not dismissed. Rosie Greer's singing It's Alright To Cry was brilliant and the baby sequence is delightful. Even though Free to Be You and Me is over 30 years old, it's message is current and worth getting out. My 12 and 10 year old nieces watched it with me and enjoyed it very much.

I don't know about you folks, but good old Frosty always creeped me out. Maybe it's just the neighborhood I live in, but if I saw some fat snowman running around my yard singing, I'd grab a blow torch and chase him down the street. If you like the idea of seeing Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby co-starring in a tragedy, then you should get "Blue Skies." Otherwise, you probably shouldn't.

I'm a huge fan of Donald O'Connor, and had no idea this movie existed until reading some of his biography online. So after watching some clips on YouTube and finally renting it from Netflix, I was hooked and bought it. Irving Berlin's music is fantastic, as always, and Ethel Merman does a super job belting out her songs while providing some humor along the way. George Sanders is perfect in his role as the foreign minister, and his singing is heartwarming and pleasant. And let's not forget the singing AND dancing of O'Connor and Vera-Ellen! Watching the two of them together makes you feel like you're in a different place in a different time. Highly recommended.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid and I thought I would get it for my children. They haven't stopped watching it yet. Now that I'm older, I still enjoy this movie. Tim Conway is so funny. What can I say about Jan-Michael Vincent? I love him as an actor!

This is a fairly entertaining musical movie but doesn't compare with the old MGM musicals. Doris Day is always good but the movie doesn't hold up with the changing times.
