I bought this video for my 6-year old daughter to help her get more exercise. I figured, if she's going to watch tv, might as well make use of the time. She's in taekwondo, so this video really helped reinforce the kicking and punching moves. (you don't need to be in TKD to do this video) What I loved was that they had lots of different kids. Boys, girls, younger, older, and some that had a little more chunk to them. It showed that any one can do it! Bill Blanks is really motivating. It was nice to see him sweat too. I kept reassuring that you're suppose to get hot and sweaty. That's good! See, he is too! My mother even is thinking about doing it too. It's a nice workout.

This is my first Tae Bo DVD. I've done a couple of other kickboxing type of work outs but would not consider myself very experienced at it. THere is an intro to the basic moves in the bonus section. So I didn't have to invest in a introductory or foundation DVD as some reviews suggested. There are enough pauses between each exercise set that I could catch breath. I was able to get through the whole 1.5 hours on my first try. Each set begins with a slow version of the exercise and then it get's faster. Even though I was kind of fumbling around during the faster pace, I think I'll get the hang of it after a few tries...I'm not the most coordinated person in the world. You do not have do painful, boring exercises on the ground for an hour a day to get results! This DVD is so fun and easy that I was thinking "Wow, this isn't gonna do anything for me." Wrong! The morning after I completed this relatively short workout, my abs hurt more than with any other tape I've ever tried. Clearly BB's exercises do work and after doing this tape even 3 days a week, one is sure to see massive results.

Several years ago, I lost about 30 lbs with the original Tae Bo video series. Now, at 32 (and with a slowed-down metabolism), I have about 7-10 lbs to lose again--and as soon as I saw this DVD, I knew that this was the way to go. I love Tae Bo because it's never boring--I've tried countless at-home fitness video/DVD workouts, and Tae Bo remains the only one I've ever stuck with. This is the best exercise dvd that I ever bought. It works every part of your body and it works it hard. This is a hard tape but you get the results you want. I'm so glad I bought it. I have a whole of of other tapes but this one is number one.

I have been doing Tae bo for over 3 years .I love the new Taebo t3 pure power,it is an excellent workout for advanced as well as for beginners.I do not enjoy the Ignition,acceleration and transformation because it takes too long just to teach the moves.But I think it is good for beginners.I do taebo3-4 times and a week.There is no other workouts like taebo.I agree with the earlier reviewer about the time spent for instructions at the beginning of each workout,I just skip it and go straight to the workout.I have lost 5 pounds in 4 weeks.Go Taebo .Thank you Billy,Shelly and the taebo team.

I've been doing Taebo basic tapes for several years, not advanced, because the basic is more my pace. I'm VERY happy and excited with this one because: 1) more gradual warm-up and transition into workout 2) the pace of it is perfect for beginner to intermediate...I could get through the whole thing without stopping in the middle of any moves but still felt very challenged and burned plenty of calories. IF YOU CAN DO THE OTHER TAEBO BASIC TAPES, YOU CAN DO THIS. 3) on some of the moves that are more difficult and fast ("double time")--he only does 1 or 2 sets so you can keep up with the pace and not have to stop. (on previous tapes, the double time was too fast or too long or awkward, I couldn't even move fast enough to keep up, or my muscles would cramp up. not so on this tape). 4) the ... Read More

I'm advanced as far as exercising goes. I felt I needed a challenge, so after reading some of the reviews I purchased this DVD and a couple of others including the bands. The workout is everything it promises! The first day I did not use the bands, and I was kind of disappointed because after reading that this workout beats the heck out of you, I began to wonder about the fitness levels of my fellow reviewers. Well, day two I used the bands and OMG!!!!!...talk about cardio/resistence/abs and all over body abuse!!! LOL It was great, despite the fact that I was quite sore the next day. THis is the worst Tae Bo video I've seen and here's why: A. To actually do half the video, you need to have at least 15 feet of open living room space, and who has a living room with no furniture? B. The music is terrible. It is essentially songs that the producers or Billy wrote sung by a machine to a beat background. The lyrics are also all about God and Jesus. Not into that during my workout, but maybe you are. C. The combos are silly and the workout isn't hard. Save your money and pick one of the other videos.

What I dislike is the playing of audience's worst side. The antihero status given to serial killers is a bad thing ( in moral and social terms). The publicity and books about them may sell; true crime magazines go back in the 1800's, but making the methods and motivations so public may encourage others to do the same. In this movie the female lead is done very well, as is the staging and dialog. The movie is very well done; it just have very few socially redeeming qualities besides being a 'seller' at the box office.
