This movie is a classic and well worth owning. I try to watch this movie at least once a year because I love it so much. If for nothing else, watch this movie to see Mickey Rourke as a young actor who had all the looks any guy could hope for. The acting of Rourke and Eric Roberts is great and they do a great job connecting in this movie. I thought that Daryl Hannah was the worst in this movie, but she doesn't really matter too much. This is a story about the two main characters, their loyalty to each other and trying to get ahead in a world you are stuck in. A lot of humor and drama highlight this film. It all looks great and the supporting cast (save Hannah) is terrific. This is a movie you can watch time and time again, as I think it gets even more interesting as the years go by. 5 stars ... I saw this movie back in the 70's. I cried the first time and each time I watch the movie. Best performance by Richard Dreyfus in my opinion. I was looking for this movie on VHS or DVD for many years. I am now very happy to have this DVD in my collection.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker
Shadow Watcher
Nobody Drowns in Mineral Lake

Essentially told in reverse time, this is the story of a lost great painting, the artist who created it and the people who owned the masterpiece throughout the centuries. It is a compelling tale of love, tragedy and beauty.

The superbly produced entry of "Hallmark Hall of Fame," which was filmed in Holland, begins in the present day when a new art instructor (Thomas Gibson) at an American prep school is approached by Glenn Close, a reclusive history teacher, and asked to her home. There, she shows him what appears to be a unknown painting by Vermeer.

Close relates that, among the people who have owned the painting are a wealthy society ... Read More

Nancy Drew, Reporter (1939) is a very good entry in this series. I watched it for the first time the other night and was amused by two scenes with Psycho references. Since the movie was made over 20 years before Hitchcock's masterpiece, the scenes are pure coincidence, but worth sharing...during the movie, one of the characters appears in drag looking eerily like Mother Bates! and in another scene, which takes place on a rooftop, there is a sign in the background advertising the Bates Hotel! I had to smile. Check it out.

8.American Experience: Woodrow Wilson starring: William Howard Taft, Theodore Roosevelt, Walter LaFeber, Thomas J. Knock, Michael Kazin

This 2-disk history of the life and times of Woodrow Wilson is well-intended but flawed. The producers and writers spend way too much time on Wilson's pre-presidential career and provide a swift account of his presidential terms that leave more questions unanswered than not. There's too much emphasis on Wilson as a "passionate man"--so much that sometimes the biofilm feels uncomfortably like a gossipy video celebrity column. A lot of time is spent on Wilson's health, certainly an important issue but not deserving as much attention as it gets.

What's the opportunity cost of all this? Three come immediately to mind. First, although we're told that Wilson was a "progressive" candidate for the governorship of new Jersey and, afterwards, the White House, we're not given any good idea of what it meant ... Read More

This feature did not meat my expectations. When the title is "Wild Secretaries exposed contest", I do not expect to see which girl just strips better off her clothes. Not girls just dancing and undressing to full nudeness of their "secretary outfit" i.e sexy dressing. I want to see real "secretarial" action, (contest is not needed here to make it hot, at least not in the way it is presented.)
Real hot and interesting contest, would be seeing girls with sexy outfits doing "things" trying to succeed to excite their male and (yes!) female bosses by removing panties and flashing clearly shaven pussies while retaining shirts and high heels, then continue their actions in the boss's private locked office, truly teasing and teasing us, offering extended tandalizing views of flesh and action... Thath's secretarial action ... Read More
