Indeed, this was the early 90's and I was DEEP in the "hacker scene." Except for the fact that everyone in the movie is a bit too old, it really has the feel of that sense of power you felt when you hacked into a system, or cracked someone's lame software copy protection. But the NAME of this movie is what limited its distribution. I was invited to see this by a colleague of mine and he only told me the name. As always, there is a limit to how bad anything Morgan Freeman appears in can be. He did a great job for his part, but there were some things that were a bit unexplained in the movie. Weak points: 1. What caused the schism between the two bosses? How did the timing work out so perfectly that the first boss knew that the second killed his son? 2. It is very easy for Bruce Willis to look cool, but it seems like his walking into a parking garage and shooting someone while in motion in an elevator was a bit.....overdone. 3. The treatment of how the failed bet (around which the whole movie was based) was a bit stretched. Ok, just because this movie bashes the Bush administation doesn't make this a "smart" movie. This is a "bad" movie. it reminded me of a mix between the awful "Southland Tales" and the horrible "Home of the Brave" - except worse, because I had to shut this off not even half way through.

This was NOT the "feel good movie of the summer" like the box advertised. Or maybe I was thinking of "The Mighty Ducks". Either way, I probably only laughed through about half of this.

Gandhi was lots of fun..I love the parts where there is beatings and he just turns the other cheek...I wish there could have been more car chases but I think it may have taken away from the story...Gandhi was a cool dude he was smarter than most the people he hung out with...What makes him better than Batman and other superheroes is that he was a real dude not just a guy from a cartoon story...I never figured out who his girlfriend was....maybe I missed that part...Gandhi was old school but he could have been big today..yes it was a good movie for those of us who can really understand what Gandhi had up his sleeve...he was like James Bond without the babes and cars.....Gandhi was the Man in his day...

This movie is very fun, and Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver are excellent in it. Kevin Kline plays two parts in the movie, Dave and President Bill Mitchell. Dave operates a temp agency and also makes a few extra bucks playing President Bill Mitchell. The night Mitchell is to give an important speech Dave is used as a decoy so that the real President can make it to the speech without the press hounding him. After the speech though the President meets up with one of his aids and while having sex has a massive stroke. The Presidents advisers do not want the American people to know because they don't like Vice President Nance. They convince Dave to pretend to be Dave for a few months, which at first he does not want to do. They convince him though and for a while it works. One wrench ... Read More

I guess there are a lot of reviewers here who when it comes to a decent comedy to watch, they roll in hysterics at something as lame as The Jamie Kennedy Experiment or the voice over man repeating the same old lines over a video of someone falling down on un-funniest home videos. I wish I had not taken any notice of the negative reviews this movie received when it was in theaters and actually gone to see it. Mike Myers plays the Love Guru, not a dissimilar role to those seen in Austin Power movies, however, the comedy is definitely strong throughout this whole movie. The Anne Frank movie was amazing!! I watched, I cried and I loved it, I absolutely hope everyone sees this movie. It will melt your heart knowing that a little girl and others went throught such terrible acts from other human beings, this is sad to know but its very necessary for us to live a life of repect and love for one another, just like our Savior said. As a substitute teacher in a middle school English class, I was left this movie to show the class. I knew nothing about it, but I got caught up in its innocent (but never simple-minded) charms. I had to stay late after school to see how it ended! I did not know that Disney had returned so strongly to G and PG rated movie-making. Yes, it is a bit sentimental, but life needs a bit of that, and it offers plenty of food for thought for grown-ups too. A genuine surprise -- and pleasure.

The movies and actors/actresses did their job well, but I am not impressed with the work of George Eliot. I prefer other writers more. This is the first of her work I have read or watched.
