I bought this when I looked at the index and saw one of the authors is Tee A. Corinne who truly knows how to deliver a story.

This is a Keeper!

I found the following information on the book -

From Publishers Weekly
What do women want sexually? Here 21 women writers, some pseudonymous, spin a variety of candid erotic fantasies in an attempt to answer the question with a turn-on for every taste and circumstance. One of the most imaginative, "The House of the Twin Jewels," describes a futuristic brothel for female patrons. "A Japanese Play" features group sex for money while the camera rolls. "The Scavenger Hunt" and "Humming" celebrate lesbian love, the latter affording a healing experience for one partner, her "aging body wracked these days with the ... Read More

Author Paula Kamen really walked a fine literary line between her own personal friendship, the mourning process, and the telling of a great, but tragic story. Her book, "Finding Iris Chang: Friendship, Ambition, and the Loss of an Extraordinary Mind" is itself a brilliant effort and one that grabs the reader's heart and mind. This biography is intimate and reflective of not just Chang's life but also suggests a look inside the author as well.

The public knows all about the works of Iris Chang and her voice that told the world about the Chinese Holocaust by the Japanese at Nanking. She was a very successful writer and author. She was known world wide but few knew the real person she was.

Suicide is something, that in some way, touches every human life on earth. When ... Read More

I am very happy I could locate this book. It is one of my favorite books, and one I insist being on my shelf. Thus, my copy was missing and I was pleased I could replace my copy. I am happy with the condition of the copy I just recently received; it arrived quickly, and I'm glad to have it in my personal library.

Thirteen of the most famous female authors of the last two decades, including six New York Times best-selling writers, have combined their talent on a "labor of love". This fabulous group has collaborated on a beautiful Mother's Day gift: MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS. The authors, including Anne McCaffrey, Diana Gabaldron and Eileen Dreyer, along with their daughters have written short stories based on that special bond between mother and daughter.

This collection is divided into two parts. The first pat consists of mothers with young daughters, while the second segment features mothers with adult daughters. The entire range of modern fiction is included in what are well-written, very appealing short stories.

47.Onions In The Stew (Common Reader Editions) by: Betty MacDonald

Books : Onions In The Stew (Common Reader Editions)
I first met Betty McDonald when I read The Egg and I, back in high school in the Pacific Northwest in the late 1960s, and I was completely enthralled. First of all: she writes extremely well. Her sentences are terse and well-formed, and she has a knack for shaping quips of all kinds: the quick laugh, the sudden surprise laugh line, and the careful set-up gag. Most of all, though, I find myself laughing aloud (she's one of the few authors who makes me laugh aloud while reading) at the perfection of a sentence which is at the same time witty, perfectly balanced, completely appropriate, and completely unexpected.

You will find all this - in spades - in Onions in the Stew. It is a mellower book than the others, for many reasons; she was older when she wrote it - and, I think, happier in her second marriage; ... Read More

Perhaps the notion of a book on "bad girl" behavior may bring to mind a version of "Girls Gone Wild," but with few exceptions the personal accounts in this collection do not involve sexual escapades. Much of the behavior in these essays falls into such categories as breaking rules, rebelling against authority, flouting conventions, and even self-destructiveness. A lot of the behavior could perhaps better be seen as pushing against constraints imposed by parents and institutions that make growing up difficult. Some of the behavior in these essays may be more painful to witness or experience than it is liberating.

Many of the women write of the oppressiveness of school in their teenage years, especially religious and boarding schools. The resentment and difficulties of those experiences may be best seen when one author, ... Read More

50.Chicana Falsa : And Other Stories of Death, Identity, & Oxnard by: Michele M. Serros
June 01, 1998
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Books : Chicana Falsa : And Other Stories of Death, Identity, & Oxnard
This is a wonderful book that adds a unique voice to the Chicana Literary Canon. Anyone (most especially another Chicana?) who believes this book is unworthy of publication and that the writing is not as good as Toni Morrison or Rita Dove is a perfect example of the type of "Chicana Falsa" that Serros so brilliantly calls out in her book. Serros is a brave and cutting edge Chicana writer--a prolific and witty writer. There is no single form of African American writing. Why should we insist that there be one for Chicanas?

Read this book and then read her follow up: How to be a Chicana Role Model. Then later in spring 2006, pre-order her upcoming work: Honey Blonde Chicana. Serros writes biting satire like no other Chicana writing today. You won't be disappointed.
