This book is very entertaining to see just how bad fast food and other restaraunt's food is. You can finish reading this book in about an hour though, and then it's practical use is over. Buy this if you want a one-time eye opener and awe-factor to the reality of eating out. If you are looking for a tool to help lose weight, I suggest the complete calorie guides by Calorie King and Biggest loser. They are small enough to fit in the car or purse and have comprehensive lists of the foods at different eateries. Eat this...Not that only has about 4 items per restaraunt to compare with. It is very entertaining though.

This used to be on television about a hundred times a year until somebody realized that it diminished its value. Now rarely on tv, this dvd is an entertaining, heart-warming story. It only takes a viewing of this movie spectacular to put me right in the mood for Christmas. James Stewart plays George Bailey who has led his entire life giving of himself to help others when a banking error by his uncle could end it all for poor George. An angel comes to his rescue and shows George what life would have been without him. With the beautiful Donna Reed as his wife and gruff and mean Mr. Potter played by the highly talented Lionel Barrymore, this dvd is a must for any collection, and epecially any library of Christmas classics.

If you are a student of modern history, especially economic history, you must read this book. If you are a student of modern economics, you must read this book. If you care about what is being done about the current economic crisis, you must read this book. A prescient book (published just before all the economic troubles we're currently facing), perhaps in the nick of time, the author takes a new look at the Great Depression and the policies used to combat it. Read about what they did seventy years ago and see the chilling similarities with today's crisis - and the responses to it. If what I have written stirs any interest at all, read this book. You will not regret it.

Don't get me wrong; P. D. James has written characters specific to some of her books that linger in my memory to this day, years after having read about them in one of her earlier stories. Even the most minor of her characters practically walks off the page in front of you while you're reading one of these novels, and this one is no different in that respect. And her plots are superb. But its Adam Dalgliesh and the few people who are important to him that have meant the most to me since I discovered her novels twenty years ago and got through the third in the series, "Unnatural Causes". Its a joy when the creator of a great character remains engaged and interested in him or her. Dalgliesh and his team have moved with the times as naturally as real people. I got as far as page 106 and couldn't waste any more time on this book. Too many random words in Spanish-just enough to wonder what the author is talking about. There were also a lot of footnotes-tiny footnotes-that made this feel like a boring school book. I tried, but couldn't finish this book. We read it for a book club and others had the same opinion.

Flynn's previous novel was a disappointment and I thought he had lost that hard core edge that made me a major fan. I was wrong! Extreme Measures was Flynn at his best. And it certainly looks like Mike Nash will be his partner in the fight against terrorists. That is until Flynn decides that Nash needs a mission on his own. Extreme Measures is an action read that you won't want to put down.
