This book is very detailed about vermicomposting, in fact, if there is nothing you would rather do than extoll the virtues of worms..this is the book for you. It is informative and useful, but maybe a little long for those who just want to be greener and reduce waste.

The Greatest hunting stories is a book with 29 of the greatest hunting stories. One of the stories I like the best is Black Death. This Story is about a cape buffalo that kills a man so an officer must go find the buffalo and kill it before it kills some one else. To find out the thrilling ending read the book. Another story is Good Morning. This story is about a young kid that shoots his first buck. "This is a exciting and thrilling book. It would be good for any hunter at any age." -A teenager from Mid-Prairie High School.

This is still the most complete book on firearms cartridges, and if you want or need one, this is the one to buy. It's not quite perfect though, and while the few typing errors don't really make a difference overall, the missing cartridge dimensions on a few (admittedly rare) cartridges is annoying if only because one expects to find the data.

This was a great book and has lots of good info but mine was missing pages 361-408, which included 45ACP.

Like many - and like the author, Steven Rinella - I've been long fascinated by the buffalo, so when given the chance at a new book like this, I snapped it up. For anyone with such a fascination, this book will give you a fix, but be aware that a good portion of its content is written from not only a hunter's perspective, but describes the author's actual buffalo hunt and in detail, right down to the skinning and butchering - the latter down to skinning the head and emptying the eye sockets, for that matter. As someone who has hunted in the past and may do so again, I don't mind that, but a non-hunter may find this content off-putting. Rinella's language can also be a bit explicit at times. Good book with nice pictures. I have read all of the tactical books and this is one of the best overall. Covers most basic topics and is an excellent book to read before buying a firearm for self protection.

Bible says "There's a time for living, a time for dying and... a time for killing". Three truths Western society has forgotten or almost. Shooter's Bible isn't The Bible, but is good, possibly the most exhaustive book or catalog in his genre.

Lovers of fishing, or Oregon, or life, or the search for life's meaning should love this book. So should readers interested in thoughtful, creative and honest writing; or of clever, insightful and profound character development. Gus Orviston is an enduring main character, and his discovery of his brother, Bill Bob's, unique and beautiful self, by itself, makes the book worth reading. With a comfortable, unique, often zany style, author David James Duncan has created an unexpected, very joyful book. The ending falls a bit short of the earlier 99%, but that's just quibbling.

A terrific book, especially for those going to Africa. A must for hunters especially those who will hunt in Africa. It was the book my Professional Hunter had me read the first time I visited southern africa. It was not only great reading but very sobering and helped me gain the proper respect for these magnificent and dangerous animals. Also a great book for those who may not go to africa but want to experience it, get closer to the dark continent and closer to the adventure and danger that lies there.
