I've read all Ms. Rivenbark's books, and found everyone to be very amusing. I'll be honest, this one wasn't my favorite...but it was still an entertaining read. Ms. Rivenbark can take any ho-hum topic (like the renovation of a house...b-o-r-i-n-g) and turn it into a hilarious serious of observations. If you like the quirkiness of southern women, and their completely different (and some times crazy...but in a good way!) outlook on life, and the way things should be done, then pick up any one of Ms. Rivenbark's books. Just be advised, this is NOT a novel...this is a compilation of short articles/stories. Sometimes they're connected, sometimes not. They are almost always hilarious though! :)

Remarkably nice. Seen her hosting on tv. Now reading her book. The chapters are short yet straight to the point, no beating 'round the bushes. Pretty interesting & really make my day.

I just finished a long ride from Tennessee to New Jersey and listened to Steve Doocy's book "Tales from the Dad side". As a son, father and husband Steve's book touched me in so many ways that when I finished it I felt satisfied. So many of his chapters were so spot on it felt like I had written this book. The chapters on sex made me laugh the most because my mom educated me the same way. I took my brother to give me the real information. You have to read or listen to know what I mean. I would recommend this to any father who could use a good laugh and to any wife looking to buy her man a book that he will really read and enjoy

I have read this book and I am amazed by two things. It seems that although quite a lot of time has passed since it was first published -- not much changed. Additionally, being a Pole living in Poland I can compare the "rules" that apply to both the US and Polish authorities and it seems that they do not differ much. So although the author describes specific situation, I am afraid it the problem is universal. Great reading!

I ordered this book from Amazon, got it in about 2 or 3 days after ordering it and it was exactly how it looked online. I read the review of this book and thought it would be something I wanted to read since I enjoy Tyler Perry's plays but I was mistaken. I read the first few pages and it did not hold my interest. It is a book of humor but it just did not hold my attention at all. I would suggest it if you want to support Tyler Perry but if you are looking for a good book to read that will hold your interest, I suggest Eric Jerome Dickey. YMMV. NEOSOUL06.

This is a fabulous joke CD. I've have just recently become a big fan of Garrison Keillor and will now find all the CD's he has and get them. His humor is great.
