I was given The Other Boleyn Girl as a gift and devoured it. Since then I have read every other book in the Tudor series. I am patiently awaiting her new book which is to hit the shelves in September. She is one of those authors who makes you not want the book to end. And her talent is consistent in every book. I highly recommend this book to any one who wants history to come alive not just remain a lot of names and dates.

Ugh! I really struggled through this book. The main character hates vampires, so it is understandable that she won't trust the vampire that decides to train her, but come on. 10 pages later she is talking about how how the vampire is and how much she wants him, yet she hates him. She really wants him, then she is scared of him. There is very little plot here, and entirely too much whining. Hard to believe that a vampire is going to fall in love with someone the first time he meets her also. It's just a little too out there and strange for me. However, stick through this book, because the next one is a bit better.

What a great story. My heart went out for Sebastian. He was so alone for so long, finally he found his mate. Yes, Kaderin was annoying in the beginning, but once her "feelings" kicked in, she became likable. All-in-all, this book is a keeper.

I was a bit disappointed when I recieved this book and found out I had already read it. Cheyenne released this book with Ellors'a Cave, the name of the book was Wild Fire. If I had know that I would not have bought this book because I already read it. Cheyenne changed the name of the book and the character's names, the rest of it was basiclly the same story, most of it word for word. It had been a couple of years since I read Wild Fire so I did read Zach and enjoyed it. Next time I will check more into buying a book from Cheyenne because this was a five book series and after spending another $14.99 on a book I already read was kinda like throughing money out the window.

The story of Mariketa, a witch/fey halfling, and Bowen, a Lykae (werewolf) was a fun and frothy read about a boy who chases a girl and after some obstacles thrown in his way, boy gets girl. I like straightforward stories and I liked this one. That said, Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (The Immortals After Dark, Book 3) lacked something in the same way that Cole's Dark Desires After Dusk (The Immortals After Dark, Book 5) lacked. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something that when I'm done reading, I don't feel unsatisfied but I don't feel satisfied either. I guess my problem with Cole's books are that I find her male heroes are likable even when they are acting out. Bowen is no exception. I've read most of Kenyon's Dark Hunter series and this one, although published 5 years ago, I missed the first time around. I've got to say that one of the things that I like most about her books is that they all seem to stand on their own. While it's preferable to read in order, you lose nothing if you don't. As for Night Embrace...it's another great one! Since there are so many other reviews, I'll leave it at that and just add my voice to the others that recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a matter of fact, it went by too fast. I had been captivated with Cade since Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night, and I was holding my breath for his book. But the wait was richly rewarded. Holly is a perfect heroine for him. She brings out the protective side in Cade, but also the playful side. And if anyone needs to live a little, it's Holly. I loved the whole plotline and found it wildly romantic. This book was also a good action book with scenes that show that Holly is a powerful woman in her own right. I just adore Cade, even more then I did before. He is sexy beyond belief, and very funny also. I loved his devotion to Holly, and how he challenged her but cared for her at the same time. One of my most favorite books ever. You must remember when it was written and the period it is set in when reading. From other reviews I see some have become bored and impatient with the book which is a shame. If you take the time to understand the characters, including Manderley, you may find more to consider than it seems.
