Like a lot of good investment advice, Peter Schiff's may have come a little early. Commodity prices have gone into free fall since the summer of 2008 when the book was written, while the US dollar has strengthened dramatically. However Schiff's logic is fundamentally sound - much like the gang at The Daily Reckoning, Schiff tells us why we can expect things to turn out as he predicts. It is hard to imagine how time will not ultimately prove his thesis correct.

In it, she describes how she witnessed herself having a stroke and the subsequent feeling of peace that enveloped her when her logical left brain shut down and her right brain became dominant. I became intrigued after watching the video and then read the book. The book expounds on her experience while having the stroke and her subsequent recovery. Peter Schiff is a professional doomsayer who strongly makes the case that the American economy is going to hell in a hand basket. Fast. He lays out this case in his book, CRASH PROOF. Given the backdrop of recent months, it is hard to say he is wrong. The book came out @ February of 2007 so Schiff is prescient in a number of realms. If doom and gloom is your cup of tea, you have come to the right book. Schiff sees over consumption, inflation and misguided government policies as providing a recipe for economic and financial disaster. My gripe is that the book's title oversells and does not really constitute truth in advertising. This is a wonderful book and a classic of spiritual wisdom. The teachings are non dogmatic, practical and wonderful. I recommend it to everyone.

This is a good overview of how certain parts of the brain can affect your actions and moods. Each chapter about a part of the brain is followed by recommendations to improve the brain's function and in turn your life. Yes, one recommendation is usually medication, but the other 10 or so can easily be incorporated into your life. If you could use a little help, this book and recommendations are certainly worth the low selling price. Enjoy and good luck.
