The irrational support for Obama points to a need for an IQ test, verifiable ID and citizenship, and verification of property ownership in America before anyone would be allowed to vote. I would give 10 to 1 odds that all of the negative reviews were written by America-hating brain-dead communists, enviromarxists, fascists, liberals and/or other socialists.

I have mixed views on this book. On one hand, there is a wealth of global economic information that would be interesting to anyone following the topic. The book gives you a genuine glimpse into how individuals in the countries that count as 'the rest' view current trends. This book is not uninteresting by any means. But it has the same inherent flaws as every other book by Zakaria. Like Friedman, he puts an over-emphasis on economics and tables completely geopolitical realities. When he does mention those who would disagree with that overemphasis, his dismissive nature of those critics is way too brief. Bugliosi has a precise and orderly mind. He gives relentless example after example of intentional lies, obstruction, and hiding that has resulted in so many deaths. This book is a good reminder of how numb we have become listening to our politicians sidestep issues, lie, and cheat, with full impunity and immunity, because putting Bush's Iraq was history in a legal framework with logic and commonsense, and without the media's politic glisando, helps to see Bush & Co's war for wat it is: murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Impeachment is not enough. You don't fire someone and send them home with a pension for murder. The more I read, the more I continue to be disgusted. If the death penalty is ever appropriate, Bush is the case.

I could not wait for this book to come out as it turns out I could have waited forever. This book did not even seen like it belonged in the series. If you don't read this one you really won't miss any thing. I really have nothing good to say about this book. The only reson to keep it is you have the whole series.

This book by Jim Collins is one of the most successful books to be found in the "Business" section of your local megabookstore, and given how it purports to tell you how to take a merely good company and make it great, it's not difficult to see why that might be so. Collins and his crack team of researchers say they swam through stacks of business literature in search of info on how to pull this feat off, and came up with a list of great companies that illustrate some concepts central to the puzzle. They also present for each great company what they call a "comparison company," which is kind of that company with a goatee and a much less impressive earnings record.
