I was so eager to get the book and start reading it. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive until after I had returned from vacation, after which my Mother 'appropriated' the book from me to read before I had even had a chance to start reading it. I love Stephenie's way of writing. She captivates readers, drawing them into the unique and believable world she's created in The Host. Reader's can feel the tension, the confusion, and the wonder. Definitely a good read!!!!

I found this book to be one of the most entertaining, exciting Star Wars books I have read, much better than the Legacy series of novels.

If you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings, this audio recording is must-have for your collection. I love to read and re-read the trilogy; there is something magical about these books. Sometimes I focus on the poems, sometimes the characters, sometimes I just read them because they are familiar and comforting. This unabridged audio recording brings the book to life in a new and wonderful way. The narrator's voice is a perfect match for the story. Rob Inglis gives each character an appropriate voice, and his reading of the narrative is excellent. It's wonderful to listen to the story read aloud by such a fine actor! I got the whole "Lord of the Rings" trilogy for my husband woh loved the movies. He has truly enjoyed listening to the audiobooks and so have I. The reader is excellent and provide different voices for each character. I would compare the reader to Stephen Fry of the UK version for the Harry Potter audiobooks. These books were definatly worth the money.

what I can say about it? simply it was to short. I finished in 3 days and i feel the second part about Tory & Ash was too short, that need it more insight on their lives together. Hopefully we'll get a second book just for them. I cried a lot with all the terrible things that he went through, oh poor Acheron!, so much suffering, so lonely. Longing for love, aceptance, I felt his pain,, my heart bleed along with his. I just wanted reach and soothed him. :) Ms Kenyon, you really made me live the story, Thank you! Also i can't wait for Simi's book and please bring us another "Acheron book", please :) Thank you! BB

This book is amazing. The story is wonder and it draws you in. It takes you to a whole other world and allows you to live in it as an observer of amazing and epic events. This is edition is one of the best editions. The maps in the back are excellent and it's quality is superior to a lot of other books that I have seen. It has a glossed cover and the ink is dark. Even at the price of $12 this book is WELL worth the money.

I first saw Wicked, the musical. Since I loved the musical, I was hungry for more & ordered the book. Now that I am reading the book, the musical seems almost like a spoof comparatively. The book is much, much darker-but it's great. I can't put it down at times. I am glad, however, to have seen the musical first. Because I know if I just hang in there, the happy ending is coming in the story.
