What a terrific book! Although it's written for teens, I found the information quite inspirational for even old people like me! I plan to give it to my teenage grandson; he'll love it! Every teenager on your gift list should have a copy of this easy to read book.

Great book. I highly recommend it. One of the best parenting books out there. A must read for all parents. It is a very short, quick read.

Like all Lewis' works, this book is full of insights into human life - into those aspects which are often too big and obvious for us to notice. These insights are given us directly from the enemy through the writings of a devil named Screwtape. He writes to his nephew (a novice tempter devil) about his nephew's "patient," a human struggling with faith, who is a representation of us. This book bettered my attitudes about people and life and faith by orders of magnitude! I recommend it to everyone!!

I appreciate Dr. Dobson's insight into children. This book has absolutely helped me not to be a "screamer" anymore and to be a more confident parent to my two-year-old. He is not as strong willed as some of the examples in the book, but my husband and I can definitely already see a positive difference in his behavior. Even if your children aren't all that strong willed, I'm sure they enjoy testing the boundaries. Please, please read this book.

I liked this one because it is based on the KJV, the real deal! It doesn't replace the actual Bible, but it makes it easier for the kids to enjoy and learn about some of the Bible stories. Good value, I shopped around before buying, and the price is fair. God Bless!

We have now read through this Bible 5 times with my now 6 year old son. We gave it to him when he was 4, and he has asked--more like begged--to read a story from it each and every night since then. This is the most loving, gently written children's story book Bible that I have ever come across. They are all written in a way that a child can relate to and understand. And I love that at the end it really does bring it back around to Christ's love for us. Even as an adult, there have been many stories that I have read my son, and ended with a teary eye, as my heart connects to the message, and I feel I have really "grasped" something for the first time in reading it. Well done!!!

This part of the series was poorly written. Sort of like a story by a middle school kid who is a really good writer. Paper thin, inconsistent characters, rambling in spots and never able to capture the reader. A predictable plot that twists and turns to no good end. I couldn't stand how the characters went from these strong personalities to complete indecisive, insecure wimps as soon as finding Jesus ... who then rebel against the anti-Christ. By the way ... think of it ... the anti-Christ. Imagine the fun you could have writing that character. Nope, not in this collection. Not fun at all. I was hoping for him to be a real grab you by the throat and throttle you character ... no depth to the character at all. He constantly sounds like a whiny preschooler. Very disappointing.
