2008 writer's market is a thick book, and has the listings for publishers, and some literary agents. For a FULL listing of agents one must purchase the literary agents guide. This is a heck of deal compared to paying $300 for a Literary marketplace. And keep in mind MOST places that do carry refrence titles, such as a liebrary, do not have the most up to date version of that. Always make sure to check the agents or publisher web-site for the latest info on submissions. The information covers the entire non-fiction magazine market, not just journalism. Includes the best ways to break into freelancing, and compares small and large markets. Creating a niche for yourself versus generalizing is also covered. Some writing tips are offered, as well, but the focus is on selling your work. I am very pleased with this book, and I recommend it.

Not only does it give you the information about publishers so that you can find a match to your work, reading it gives you a better idea of what publishers want, so you can alter your work to make it more likely to be accepted.

This was my first ATC book and gives good ideas, guidelines, techniques. Kind of neat- a teacher from my old highschool was featured in here. I DO like how several different styles were highlighted in the book.
