This is a most helpful book. It is the only real help I have found on a most complex and difficult subject. What a revelation to find useful information for a lay person to use to help themselves and loved ones. His ideas are simply explained and extremely useful and, best of all, they work. I highly recommend this book.

"The 4-Hour Workweek" offers interesting ideas and new perspectives, however they will not be practical for most readers. The book is worth reading anyway for the thought provoking perspective on your job and lifestyle; and ways you can change them. Timothy Ferriss urges we abandoned the "deferred-life", 9 to 5 employee lifestyle we now live and join the "New Rich". He defines "New Rich" as those who are free to travel as they please, work from were they want when they want and live a luxury lifestyle. "The 4-Hour Workweek" has a system called "DEAL" to help us achieve that lifestyle. That is an acronym for Definition, Elimination, Automation and Liberation. This book is one of my most precious and cherished books. I believe that this wonderful man has written the clearest and most inspiring book explaining what creative genious' we all are. I loved his research, his ability to inspire, his remarkable ability to communicate and his enthusiasm which leapt off each page. We are far more powerful than we ever realized and we have the absolute ability to change our lives by merely changing our thoughts and emotions. I didn't know that Esther is possessed by a slew of Spirits who call themselves "Abraham"? Reading the preface of this book, her husband Jerry talks about how Ester learned how to "channel" through, or into her body "Abraham." Esther mentions her husband was involved with the Ouija board game, and Esther didn't like being around him when he would talk to others about it. According to Jerry she was afraid of things like that including the movie "The Exorcist" and possessions, or any devil activity. Probably the best management and personnel development tool around! Four staff members were each given a copy to read and to follow the instructions for getting an analysis. Each was asked to bring the analysis for their annual job review. They expected the typical "this is good and that is bad" comments but found that when they reviewed their positive traits they were asked "how can you apply that in your job?" Ar real morale and performance builder.

Although the book title clearly aims itself at the successful managers, it is a good antidote for all who want to do better particularly on interpersonal relationship and leadership, that previous success, no matter big or small, almost always mar ourselves with complacency, self centredness, over confidence etc etc. Well organised with wit and good substance, it did help improve my communication skills, till the time I forgot them all, and then pick it out for a re-read.
