I was very interested in this years presidential race, because of the problems that this country faces. Back when the candidates were first vying for position, it was exciting to watch who was rising to the top. At the beginning I didn't think Mr. Obama had much of a chance being that he was young, unknown, inexperienced, etc. The more that I listen to him talk on the TV and the radio the more I become convince that this was the person, out of all the others, who had the character and the savvy to lead and remake this United States of America into a country that we all can be proud of again. This used to be on television about a hundred times a year until somebody realized that it diminished its value. Now rarely on tv, this dvd is an entertaining, heart-warming story. It only takes a viewing of this movie spectacular to put me right in the mood for Christmas. James Stewart plays George Bailey who has led his entire life giving of himself to help others when a banking error by his uncle could end it all for poor George. An angel comes to his rescue and shows George what life would have been without him. With the beautiful Donna Reed as his wife and gruff and mean Mr. Potter played by the highly talented Lionel Barrymore, this dvd is a must for any collection, and epecially any library of Christmas classics.

I got this book for my 12 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She picks it up throughout the day to play with. She likes being able to turn the pages to see what the picture really is. On the zoo page we take the time to point to and name all of the animals. The book is simple and sweet and just the right length for her attention span.

Wow, What can I say I truly enjoy this seris and can't wait to read the whole Sookie Stackhouse Novels. Well written can really see the story within your head.I just wished I would have found these books sooner. Fantastic mix of romance, horror, humourous and playfulness. Don't know what it is about this book, but it is amazing. The illustrations are repetative, the text sometimes ridiculous, ("goodnight nobody"?!) But it works magic. It simply reads like a lullaby. My children have each loved it as toddlers, and number six is proving to be no exception. (We have bought her a new copy as our old one is falling apart from being so well loved!)

This is one of the only books I remember from my childhood. Instead of your typical cutesy little kid story, you have something with real imagination and fun. It's an original story line with very unique illustrations. I know many adult artists who still love this book for its artwork. I used to spend hours studying these illustrations as a child and now I'm a successful artist and I still love them. The point of these illustrations, or rather, any illustration is to supplement imagination, not create it. When I was a child these gorgeous artistic illustrations were far more interesting to me than the typical disney style. Even as a kid I could appreciate this book for its originality. I question Oprah's literary tastes. She gushed over "Pillars," saying she was sad as she neared its conclusion, knowing the read would soon be over. Please! The story wasn't particularly compelling, the characters not that well developed, and Follett's story--taking about 996 pages-- was about 600 pages too long.

Good Night Lullabies My two grandsons, ages 4 and 6, liked this book a lot. It appealed to their imaginations and the illustrations were excellent. The story loses a bit of momentun at the end, and lost the kid's interest a bit. But, overall, a fun book.

One problem with Kindle and ebooks is that so many unqualified people can create them. This Kindle edition is full of typos. This book is in the public domain so it has been worked over many times. We need to know the source that was used to copy the work. It is obviously different from other versions. Is this a copy of the original? Or updated version? And how much was added or changed by the copier? It's like trying to follow a map that someone has edited.
