This book is the best law book that I have ever read. The cases are interesting and well abbreviated. The best part though - the notes before and after the cases. Chemerinsky does a great job of explaining what is going on. Instead of giving you ambiguous answers and rhetorical questions, this book actually explains the law. I will buy the next edition when it comes out, even though I will be out of law school. That's how good it is. This book should be standard at all schools, and should be the model for legal education text.

Any text that can get Brown v. Board down to 2 pages gets my vote, especially in a semester in which I had 6 other classes. The book trims everything down more than any other casebook I've seen, but leaves enough meat on the bones to discuss in class.

Content The editing sucks. The notes suck. The case selection sucks. Construction This book shares the same physical problems that all Aspen casebooks suffer. The binding sucks. The book will not lay flat; the hump in the pages makes it hard to read, damn near impossible to underline. The paper is too thin, print shows through not only from the other side of the page, but from other pages below. The paper is an icky off white. The font is funky with awkward leading and hard to read. The margins are non-existent. Forget about writing in the book. The cover is cheaply made and wears poorly. Compare to a University Casebook Series book which lies flatter, has wide margins, easy to read font and page layout, nice white paper, and excellent build quality. ... Read More

This book is very helpful if you are looking for a Con Law study aid or explanation book. Many of my classmates also felt they had a better understanding of Con Law while using this book with the class.

I bought this print of the U.S. Constitution at first because my pocket Constitution had almost fallen apart. When I got it in the mail I thought it was very pretty, but I was a little surprised at house large the print was. The print IS very large - so I guess it would be helpful for those who have bad vision, it isn't a BAD characteristic of the layout of the book, I was just surprised. It is also very helpful because it holds The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence and The Articles of Confederation. I am very pleased with it! And I thought it was very humorous when amazon emailed me asking if I would give a review of the U.S. Constitution. HAHA!

Oh please get out the hankie and feel oh so terribly sorry - - and guilty -for this woman and her tribe. If you light skinned, get out the scourge and whip yourself you evil white person. Only white people are bad. Only people of color are abused. I was a white girl in a foreign country struggling to learn the language and get by and I did. Now I am highly paid having gone through the experience. I learned to speak the language and adapt. Cultures change, people change, ethnic peoples are brutalized, citizens are mistreated. Ms Lakota Woman thinks her life is hard, trying being non-hispanic and live in California!

Arrived promptly and in good condition. The book contains Newspaper articles of the period challenging the ratification of the proposed Constitution, along with debates intended to show weaknesses in it. Very valuable to the researcher into The Constitution, and the thoughts that went into it.
