I bought this book 4 years ago while visiting Washington, D.C. We had just missed Tim's book signing at Barnes & Noble. I never got around to reading it, but over the past few months moved it to the top of my stack. On June 13, I reached for the book and discovered I had bought an autographed copy. I'll keep it forever. I've finished the book and no words can express what a loss his departure from this earth will mean for all of us. What a countryman!

Words are cheap and easy to use. Actions, the will to go and do is so much harder. This book tells of a man who goes and does, building schools in some of the poorest areas of the world. It is well written, has a great message and once you start it is next to impossible to put down. If you can't afford to give money then support this foundation, this cause for education, by buying the book. And I challenge you to not to be touched by this amazing story.

This is a remarkably inspiring story of hope not only for stroke survivors and their families but for all humanity. I am grateful for Dr. Taylor's courage and compassion.

I listened to the audio version and it was a total waste of time. I casually watch her on TV and thought she was funny. This comes across as bitter, cynical and not very comical.

This is my favorite book. It's hilarious and deeply spiritual at the same time. It changed my life. I read it through once, and then I immediately read it a second time. I've never done that before!

I finally got a chance to read Barack Obama's bestseller, and I can say, I am really impressed. I knew from his speeches that he was quite knowledgeable about our government and world affairs, but wow! The chapter on the Constitution should be mandatory reading for anyone going into law or politics. I can't say that I agree with everything he says. I do think that what he says makes a lot of sense. What was really fascinating to me about this book, was the myths it exposed, without really trying to, like the one about Obama being new to politics. Not true. I've casually enjoyed Chelsea Handler's TV show for some time. She's witty and clever on television, so I thought her book would offer more of the same. Unfortunately, this book changed my perception of Chelsea, and once I finished the book I came away from the experience feeling I wasted my time. Chelsea's experiences really do seem like aimless recollections of a shallow existence. As another reviewer pointed out, her memoir reads like a series of Sex in the City scripts minus the fashion. Unfortunately, Chelsea often comes off as pretentious, vapid, and morally bankrupt. I kept hoping the narrative arc of the book would reveal some growth and personal reflection. I love freedom, and because of that I loved this book. Dr. Paul advocates for everything in which I believe, and which was advocated by the founders of the United States. I hope many people read this and are reminded (or taught) why we have a Constitution, and what it meant. We have abandoned it, but should people come to once again understand its importance through this book and others like it, perhaps we have a chance at restoring our freedom.

This book is a wonderfully written description of Barack Obama's life in his own words. It offers insight into the man who is now the democratic candidate for the president of the United States. It provides the chance to know Barack before he entered politics, as he was just returning to Chicago after finishing Harvard Law School, in a way that generally only old friends or family do. It is a must read for anyone who will be voting in this presidential election or is just looking for a great summer book to read.
