I Was hesitant at first to read this book, but once I starting reading it, I could not put it down. I was, and still am, and advid Anne Rice fan and, though this is not in the same league as the Vampire Chronicles, it's good to see someone reviving the spirit of the Vimpire. Although this book, along with the rest of the series, are written more for the teen audience, I found it captivating enough for an audience of any age. I suggest if you have not read it, or are as skeptical as I was, just give it a chance!

This is a wonderful book. Probly the slowest and least attenion getting than the rest of the books in the Twilight Saga. This is a wonderful collection and I would recommend all four books to anyone.

OMG, THIS BOOK IS AMAZZZING! I READ IT 4 TIMES, AND IM OBSESSED WITH EDWARD. JAKE IS OK...KINDA HOT TEMPERED THOUGH, AND HES ALWAYS LIKE, "ITS EDWARD OR ME, BELLA". THIS BOOK IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ (ONE OF SINCE IT IS TIED WITH TWILIGHT AND NEW MOON) BUY THIS BOOK PLEEEAAAAASE....ITS SOOOOOO GOOD!

This is an excellent ending to the trilogy. I can't wait for the movie!! The only problem I had was all three books are narrated by three different people. They all did wonderfully, but I really think Brendan Fraser did the best and it was really hard to transition from Brendan Fraser (Inkspell) to Allan Corduner(Inkdeath). I wish they would put out a set with Brendan Fraser reading all three books. It was really enchanting.

She loves the holes in the book and the surprise at the end! (her image in the mirror) it is her current favorite. Peek a boo is an often used phrase for her right now and her favorite game, so using different words for "boo" is super funny to her!

Allan Corduner is a masterful storyteller in his narration of Markus Zusak's The Book Thief. Our family (children seventeen down to ten years old) listened with complete attention through eleven CDs! The story is sometimes very sad and somewhat graphic, it is after all World War II in Nazi Germany. It is a sad beginning as Leisel and her brother are sent to live with a foster family and Leisel's brother dies on the way. Leisel's relationship with her foster parents is beautiful. Her relationship with Max is poignant. And her relationship with Rudy is touching. Leisel is the book thief and it is a must read. I do however, HIGHLY reccommend Allan Corduner's narration.

Didn't realize this was a mini-version of the book till I received it. It's about the size of an adult's hand (fingertip to palm). Doesn't make the best gift.

I purchased this book for my best friend who is having a boy come this December. I did so because I remember so many good memories when my parents read it to me as a child that I wanted him to share those kinds of memories with his son. Despite other reviews of saying this book is "pointless" or "dark and scary", we the reader don't always need to put on our critical, psychoanalytical, or marxist lens and analyse the books we read our children. Doesn't that take the magic out of books like this? Moreover, this book is about fun monsters and the imaginary lands that children go to when they are asleep or playing in our back yards. This book is a must for any child who is learning to or not quite yet ready to read. Furthermore, the images in this book are stunning and should captivate young audiences.

I purchased a newer version of my childhood favorite book and found that it is not the same book. Alas, someone decided it needed to be edited to make it more PC and to add some other changes that really make no sense at all. If you're a die-hard fan of the book from your childhood, be sure to get an older used copy!
