this book has good bkgrd info on these health issues for men as well as women and good interviews with docs. the info about various degrees of hormone replacement therapy is made understandable to ordinary folk like myself.

I decided it was time to take off the baby weight and had tried other things with no success. This was my last effort and BOY DID IT WORK!!! At first it was way different than every diet I had tried but after a couple of weeks not only did I feel great I was beginning to see a difference. Then all of a sudden the weight came off! I lost 25lbs in less than 4 months. I HIGHLY recommend this book to EVERYONE! To help myself in the beginning I made myself 'cheat' cards, a list of what is a 'protein', what are the 'funky' foods, etc. It helped a great deal. JUST DO THIS! IT IS SOOOO EASY!

It worked for me once. If you can keep away from the carbs and sugar, you'll be fine. Good recipes. I still use them occasionally. The recipes are a bit hoity toity for feeding families, but there are some good ones my kids like.

I found this book to be very helpful in my search for understanding regarding my hormone levels. I would definitely recommend it to any female thinking they are crazy and out of whack. You are not and this book helped me discover this.

Read the book. I have learned some things out of it. I don't like some of the food she has listed. Will have to find subsitutes for those foods. But I got the jest of it. Boils down to small portions, eat healthy & exercise that we all hate but must do for our health besides the food.

I own all of Ms. Somers cookbooks and they rock. I am constantly making meals from the recipes she gives in the book. This cookbook has some of my favorite recipes-especially the Swedish meatballs. I usually cook the Protein level 1 meals because living overseas and having to the US Armed Forces grocery stores the quality carb stuff is hard to get especially getting pasta that fits the somerzing way of life. I love her books they have changed the way I eat along with my family. Enjoy the somerzing way of cooking and eating it is the best!

If you don't mind shopping for Somersize sweetener, Somersize chocolate, Somersize white chocolate, etc. then this book would likely be a good one. I am sure that the recipes are good. I just didn't have the energy to get MORE ingredients for my pantry that I might or might not get around to using. Suzanne looks great, and her recipes from other books were quite good. I was looking for easy chocolate recipes that were low in sugar that I could actually eat. I think I'll just buy some Lara bars from my local grocer. Whew. Just thinking about shopping makes me tired, and I even like shopping at Amazon, but hate paying shipping - although many times that is free or less than the cost of gas to buy special ingredients from several different stores (as you are all well aware of).
