Someone at a bookstore put me on to Patricia Briggs and she's mainly the reason I picked this one up. On the whole I was happy with it, but only because I knew going in what to expect. As some of the other reviewers have said, at least three of the stories are partials or starter stories with the full story in novel form to come. After saying that, two of those stories could really 'almost' stand alone in that they meet and fall in love with a mate. THe full novels (and I can only speak for Briggs story as that's the only one I've read) just extend out the rest of their story. Okay, first off...despite the title and the cover art, not all of these books are about werewolves. This book is mostly about preflop bet sizing. It encourages you not to make standard raises, but to raise or call based on the ideal implied odds for various hands. Most of the advice is pretty obvious. Look to play with a lot of money behind with drawing hands, and look to play with less relative to the pot with "big" hands like AA, QQ or AK. If this sounds obvious you don't really need this book. Still, they put some numbers to these concepts and provide a framework for thinking about this principle systematically, which is in itself useful. The biggest problem with the book is that it doesn't give much guidance on postflop play (this is left to Vol. 2). Good quick read when your between books; but I still think she is a copycat with an unoriginal storyline. Don't get me wrong, the book is good, it just isn't AMAZING.

This is the second book in the Monere: Children of Moon series by Sunny. I didn't think the first book was all that great, it seemed to be echoing the Meredith Gentry series too much. But I borrowed this book from a friend so I thought why not give it a read. Luckily I actually liked it. Mona Lisa is going to lay claim and move into her new territory. She has to deal with her enemy from the first book, who is now her neighbor and the existing Monere in her territory. If the premise sounds straight forward it is. This is a very quick, easy, yet fun read. The characters are what make this book. More specifically Halcyon; without him this book would not be nearly was good. Bottom Line: Buy it When you're a new queen, a mixed blood..who struggles to find yourself and establish your kingdom, along with the help of your two brand new lovers..warriors saved from death..all while some rivals conspire to kill you...and oh by the way, the Prince of Hell kinda digs you as well. Having read some of the other reviews, I don't find this author like Anne Bishop (Sebastian) or Laurell K. Hamilton (Guilty Pleasures)..at least not the books I've read. Nor did I feel like I knew where the story was going to go, as I read it. I found her tone as an author, quite refreshing, and felt like she had built a solid foundation for the series, and the characters. And it has excellent sex scenes. Each book seems better than the last one in the series..

Author Sunny is Smokin' Red Hot everything she writes sizzles. Have a man close by to satisfy you after the read or you must have a cold shower. I've never read any of her books that didn't make me hot and bothered. If you prefer erotic romance she is one of the best authors you just can't pass up.

I am getting ready to purchase my first RV, and I love this book! It starts with the basics like A-class vs c-class vs trailer, etc. Then it continues on to describe each system that you might encounter and how to tell if it is operating correctly. It doesn't give nitty-gritty schematics -- that is for owner manuals. It is laid out such that if you are getting ready to purchase a used (or even new) model, you can go step-by-step over the systems and have a real good idea of what you are getting yourself into. As an example - I never would have thought to ask the dealer if they would sterilize the water tank before we purchase the used unit.
