The Complete User's Guide to the Amazing Amazon Kindle

I found this book to be interesting, helpful and an easy read. I purchased a "Kindle" and was looking for information to make my experience with the Kindle a good one. Steve's book not only met all my needs but he personally went the extra step to direct me to other helpful sites to help me in my own search to self-publish.

If you have purchased a "Kindle" and need a few pointers this is the book for you. And as an extra bonus you'll find some really good bargains inside.

Thank you Steve for a wonderful read.

You know that little ping media experienced in 1940 WW2 suddenly, starkly realizing London's literal jeopardy of enemy occupation? This book's author is of that same mettle: Absent tactile global realities, not angry but zealously hostile, opinionated, without depth of field and seeking buddy zealots (voters). Have every expectation her (and media) spoutings post-vote and throughout this decade will be "Wow, what's going on - really?" Imagine her take on a future Hillary v Palin? I wanted to review 'you go girl'! No girl-chill farther than your royalties. It could have and should have been a better book. Amazon won't 'submit' 0 stars.

For a couple days there was a terrible warp in the Kindle Cosmos and it mixed up my review of this great book with another terrific piece by Paula Berinstein Point of View in Fiction Writing.

Although both are great buys for the money, this one is the Bible for publishing on Kindle and is an absolute must buy if you have any thoughts of earning any money or fame with your writing.

Windlwalker has already had a profound effect on me. I have written a radio cinema play, Travels West With Travis C. Ward that I will very soon publish on Kindle and that I also am converting into a full-blown novel for Kindle. Without Windwalker, I'd have never had the gumption!

By the way, without the great tips by Paula Berinstein (The Writing Show podcast), Michael A. Stackpole ... Read More

Books : Buying Books Online: Finding Bargains and Saving Money with Booksense Stores, Amazon Marketplace, and Other Online Sites
Buying books is much more enjoyable and much more affordable now than it was in years past for many reasons. The prices of new books online are lower than in traditional bookstores. There is less overhead in an online bookstore. Also, in additon to new books, many online bookstores sell used books which can be priced much lower than a new book. Also, many books are OOP and the used book is the only way to find a copy. The internet has truly opened up a world of books to any interested buyer.

Kindle is an experiment and those who want to participate in it pay a substantial upfront charge. Anyone who thinks it's too expensive, too constricting or too risky can wait on the sidelines and see. What bothers me is that so many people are evaluating this product using either the paper book, or their own wish list of features as a standard. I personally prefer to read books on my Kindle rather than on a computer or on paper.

I have accumulated literally a ton of books in my lifetime and have no desire to add any more to my collection, unless it's what I consider a collectible, in which case I'll buy it in paper. Incidentally, I have reached the same conclusion about my music collection. The iPod is just what I need, so I use it. I don't begrudge Apple or Amazon the fees or restrictions, ... Read More

Being a newbie Kindle author, I am grateful to Stephen Windwalker for his most helpful guide on creating works for the Amazon Kindle. His book covers some important aspects that I had not even considered, plus great advice on every page. This has been one of the most informative books I have ever read, and it is now one of my favorite tools to work with!

I bought this ebook knowing full well this information was available through other sources online. So why'd I buy the ebook? Who has time to search for instructions when you can just buy a straight-forward how-to guide?

The author writes in plain English, lays the steps out one by one, and in proper sequence.

After buying this ebook, the next day I published one my own, arguably a good succession or add-on to this ebook: Graphics on the Kindle. You can find it by searching for B0018LILMO. Get it here: Graphics on the Kindle

Back to the ebook: If you're new to ebook publishing and want a well-written instructional guide that will reside on your Kindle, this is a good buy. Just follow the instructions and you're all set!
