I would say that this book is extremely good for us as a beginner in finding Catholic faith. Because the contents itself is very easily to understand. Since my background studies were in Protestant, I would like to recommend this book for anyone who just or about to enter Catholic. I just had baptised in Catholic, I am very happy and also I found so many truth are being hide in Protestant teaching. I would like to conclude that this book is a first book (preliminary) for understanding Catholic faith. Once finished this book, we could look into others like Karl Keating book and David B. Currie. Both Scott Hahn and Benjamin Wiker use their own brand of "reason" based on faith thinking they have soundly dismantled Dawkins' arguments. Who is delusional here? One hundred and fifty-two pages and they fail to demonstrate how atheism is a faith. What they offer is only rhetoric. What their argument in the end boils down to is based on faith and "evidence" from an invisible world. How convenient. These low caliber shake-down artists enforce the truth of the fundamentals of evolutionary science and the points Dawkins makes in The God Delusion. I only gave it one star because I had to.

This book is filled with short essays (10-15 pages) written by top Catholic apologists on different aspects of the sacrifice of the mass. Some essays are more apologetical in nature; others are evangelistic or catechetic. All in all, this is a wonderful place to learn more about the mass.

This is being written on my mother's account. Man, where to begin?! I have loved Batman since I was two, and MANY years later, I find myself reading how to become my favorite superhero of all time! The things in this book are actually reasonable (trust me, I've tried several of them). Let me put it very simply before I go into detail: my copy of this book is as worn as our family Bible. I LOVE it. Now for detail. First of all, anyone that wouldn't rate this five stars needs to be taken out to the firing range. There are pictures that go along with the handbook, illustrating how to correctly perform each maneuver. Backflips, throwing batarangs, detective work... it's all here. Pocket Guide to the Bible by Scott Hahn is very good. It is a very concise overview of the Bible, and it is written by a scholarly, Bible-based person who knows what he is talking about.

I devoured this book! I read the whole thing in a day. I plan to buy this book as gifts to friends in the faith and to my Mom who since I joined the church has become more interested in it. It's an inspirational journey of Biblical reasons for becoming Catholic. Nothing is more attractive then the truth. As a Protestant convert to the Catholic Church I found parts of my own journey in each story here. As well as a deepening in my understanding of how to Biblicaly defend many of the Protestant questions I've been asked by friends and family in a more complete way. All I want to do at present is study the Gospels with a little help from Scott Hahn, so I think Hahn's books on the Gospels of Mark and Matthew would be a more appropriate beginning point for a recently converted Catholic to begin reading the Gospels for the first time since conversion from Anglicanism. I already know about the covenantal relationship developed between God and the Hebrews in the Torah. Any advice from a fellow Christian, particularly a fellow Roman Catholic, will be very much appreciated.
