this book is kinda boring and confusing. you really have to hang in there to get to the good stuff - which is scarce. if youre into funny witty avante guard roots lit. make sure you read rabelais, cervantes, diderot, swift, voltaire, debergerac, lucian, erasmus and the Anatomy of Melancholy FIRST. otherwise you might inadvertantly over-rate nash... or even worse, get turned off to reading all together. (thats funny, I called Sterne "Nash" on accident - I guess Shandy reminds me of Nash's unfortunate traveller - another uneven boring book with flashes of brilliance)

As the Mother of a Twenty something I searched for a book that would help me with parenting. I noticed the references to the Bible in the first chapter and it got worse after that. I take offence to material that says, in essence, homosexuality can be fixed, and to love your children but encurage them not to 'sin'. NO Thanks

This is truly a must read for all parents, teachers, therapist and coach who interact with pre-teens and teenagers. It never came to my mind that I needed to read a book like this until my teenage daughter started having depression issues. I realized how little I have done to secure her and how much I need to do more for her. I assumed she knows I love her and never bothered to assure her. Dr. Campbell uses great real life examples to demonstrate his wisdom. Although mostly common sense and like I said, you never realize how little you have done for your teenage kids. Please take time to read this book. I have changed myself and my daughter gets to know that I really love her, not her accomplishment, and want the best for her.

Loved it. Ross Campbell pencils a sour yet savory slice of american pie. See inside the world of a couple of hot surfer chicks after one of them loses a leg in a shark attack! Imaginative yet rooted in the mundane world of monetary monotony. The art is dope. The girls are cute, and I found it to be a perfect read sitting outside my local coffee shop today eating a cheesy tomato sandwhich and sipping some oolong tea. Great cover too. Fans of Local,American Virgin or Brian Wood should dig. Like my cheesy tomato..... Mmm Mmm Good!

This has helped our whole family. The only way to change your child is to change yourself. But it is always easier said than done, but it can be done. He reccomends reviewing a few chapters each day for a week then periodically, if you don't you will fall back into your old ways. But when you read it he shows you things you may not realize you are doing. Practical, not hard to apply, every parent should own this book.
