By far the most comprehensive overview on the philosophy behind the freedom movement ever written. Not only does Dr. Paul cover a ton of important topics but he writes in a way that makes usually hard subjects like the economy and foreign policy easy for the average person to understand. If you have been looking at America and trying to figure out what went wrong, you need to read this book. If you value freedom and liberty and the American dream you should not only read this book but tell your family and friends about it. Seriously, it is hands down the best book I have ever read. 5 HUGE Stars.

This book explains in Ron Paul's own words the reasoning for avoiding "entangled alliances." It is absolutely amazing how for 30 years this man has beat the same drum for our liberties here in our homeland. It shows just how tireless Ron Paul is in spreading the message of peace and liberty. His speeches given on the House floor are full of history (showing how we got where we are today) with a bit of almost "prophetic" wisdom of where this country is heading with the continuation of our poor foreign policy. In one speech in particular (NEOCONNED!) he names names. His personal diary entry at the beginning of the Iraq invasion...well it shows the man. Ron Paul will be in the history books. That is unless WE allow those who are in charge of writing them now to remain in power.

I absolutely love this book. His views of the economy are dead on but unfortunately I don't see a scenario where his policies and views will ever be taken completely seriously. The current economic policy of the US will eventually cause an economic collapse. The people who benefit most from currency debasement know this and are positioning their assets accordingly while still hyping the US dollar which is destined to fail under current policy. I just hope the publisher doesn't print too many copies of the book out of thin air and debase my book!

5.Freedom Under Siege by: Ron Paul

Books : Freedom Under Siege
I just finished this one today after reading 'The Revolution: A Manifesto' This was just as good. Written over 20 years ago it gives an excellent example of just how completely consistent Ron Paul is.

If this book had been read by the masses in 1988, many of the problems we face today could have been at the least minimized or quite possibly even fixed by now.

It reads well and is hard to put down until you get to the chapter on economics.

I realized while reading the economics chapter that because the subject is frankly dull, we have for too long ignored it and trusted that others know how to run the economy.

I understand now that they do. They know exactly how to transfer wealth to themselves and keep us in the dark.

I read the whole ... Read More

6.Gold, Peace, and Prosperity by: Ron Paul

Books : Gold, Peace, and Prosperity
President Calvin Coolidge got rid of the Federal Reserve Bank because he AND our Forefathers, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, ALL agreed that placing our ENTIRE economy in the hands of a few BANKERS is a VERY bad idea.

Well, faster forward to 2008 and here we are. The Federal Reserve and the families that control it run virtually our ENTIRE WORLD.

There are Federal Banks in EVERY developed nation and together they can manipulate the ENTIRE world's economy. WHY ISN'T ANYONE DOING ANYTHING!? Are we all so COMFORTABLE with our lives that we will just BLINDLY let them STEAL our RIGHTS? (Patriot Act, 'Undisclosed' Evidence, Indefinite Political Prison Sentences)

And there is talk that the U.N. Police are going to be able to enforce GLOBAL LAWS INSIDE ... Read More

The reference material seems accurate but I have found more detail in the free help file that comes with VBS 5.6. Return values and types and the actual values of the builtin constants, which I didn't find in the book.

I apparently overlooked the note that this book was based on VBS 5.5 when I ordered it. I have several pocket references and this is the first that fell short of my needs.

I've been a big fan of the 1st edition for years and found it very helpful. I use Regular Expressions a lot in Perl and found VBScript's support for RE's a bit lacking (could not extract the submatches). I was pleasantly surprised to find that this capability was added in VBScript 5.5. I bought the 2nd edition of this book because it claimed to cover VBScript 5.6. Imagine my surprise when the SubMatches collection isn't documented at all.

Overall I'm quite disappointed in the 2nd edition.

This book is a really good reference. It has made me much more efficient. It has good information of the new features of VB 2005. It has several chapters on the basics of VB as well as advanced features such as generics and attributes. I would definitely recommend buying it if you are already familiar with VB and want a good reference book for VB 2005. I try not to program without it within arms reach
