To each his own. If this book helps you, that's great. But I put down novel writing for awhile after trusting this guy's methodology. It was poison for my writing. It wasn't until I threw this collection of professor's notes from a college writing course that I picked it back up & published my first novel. Caveat emptor.

This seems to be a very well conceived and helpful book. It has a detailed plan for taking one from a blank page to a finished novel in a year's time. I haven't read through the whole book yet. NOR have I worked through many exercises yet, but found the first several exercises very helpful. Already my characters are coming to life. I expect great things in the weeks ahead.

I knew almost nothing about psychophysiology before reading this book. I first tried to learn the topic reading "Handbook of Psychophysiology" (Cacioppo, Tassinary, & Berntson) but it's very complicated and hard to understand for beginners. When I started to read "Electrophysiological Recording", the topics that seemed so complicated in the Cacioppo et al. book started to make sense finally. This book is a great introductory book to physio because it starts with introducing the basic concepts and things that you need to know before you can understand recording techniques in physio. In addition, the chapters that explain various recording techniques were simple and easy to understand, yet comprehensive.
