Buy the paperback PMBOK Guide from Amazon, you will want both. 2. Buy Rita Mulcaby's book, PMP Exam Prep. 3. On page 183 is a discount offer for her online course. You will need to take 35 hours of training, and this class will meet the requirements and prepare you for the test. 4. Do all of the exercises, and the "games" in the book. 5. Learn page 39 cold! 6. Purchase the PM FASTRACK EXAM SIMULATION from Amazon. 7. Review the "games," take the tests, until you are averaging 80% or better. The answers on the back are really poor at answering the questions on the front; they just lead one to ask more questions. You never get the oh yeah, I knew that. If you've read and reviewed, "The PMP Exam: How to Pass On Your First Try" (I'd say 4-5 times) and taken a couple practice tests, you shouldn't need anything else. Especially not these note cards. Just one guys opinion. I did passed the first time with this strategy, but that's no guarantee.

This is a fine product, but you do not get unlimited use. After one year, you have to purchase it again. So if you start studying, finish sooner than later regardless of what life throws at you. This is a license to use the software, you do not get the actual software itself. The software is truly high quality, but the company making it does not seem to believe in ethical representation of their materials to the public. Perhaps they should read Rita's book, it is very detailed regarding ethics.

This pocket question booklet is easy to use anywhere, anytime. I found the questions to be good to study from, as another form or study drill in addition to others I was using. I like the size convenience because I could review during my workouts on the eliptical and treadmill.

I had purchased a couple other exam prep resources besides this particular one, but I decided in the end to only rely on Rita's CAPM prep book. Yes, I did read the PMBOK and had class training on the PMP concepts (quite some time ago), so I already had a good understanding of the project management concepts, but this book hit the mark 100% on how the CAPM exam was going to approach the questioning. I took the CAPM and passed it on the first try after a few days of cramming with her book. I could not have done it by prioritizing according to the contents of the PMBOK materials - her book really did focus on the what the exam focused on. What the exam emphasizes and what one thinks might be emphasized, due to only reading the PMBOK, are completely different animals.

As with any other Rita book, this is also no expection. The best part is you can use the book practically. It is not just theory part, and figure out how to implement. And since it is aligned with PMBOK, there is no better book on risk management that I could have asked for. Devasish

Hi, I bought this product last year and haven't been able to get it working. It has some real horrendous licensing issues and it doesn't work on vista. The technical team is just ignoring my attempts to contact them. I am not happy with this product since I haven't been able to use this. I am sorry,usually I do not criticize like this but then for such an expensive product,I feel cheated. Thanks..

I would recommend Rita's books to anyone who's seriously going for a PMP certification or who wants to continue PMP certification. 'Crash Course' is for the novice. However, it is a practical, up to date, informational study in a condensed overview of the PMPBOK methodology. Everyone has their favorites but I've found Rita's team most effective in disecting this methodology. You'll make the right choice with 'Crash Course' if you're looking for a guide to wet your appetite and give you a true introduction to the field of Project Management as it pertains not only to the PMBOK but also reality.
