This cookbook is great and provided me with great stuff for my husband and I to eat. Trying to get Coach D to eat healthy is kinda hard. So if I fill him up on these great dishes, maybe I can keep him healthy. Most of the recipes are easy and quick to fix.

Vocabulary flash cards for the GRE are a great idea. The 500 words given from Kaplan are fine. Unlike previous reviewers, I find the definitions to be sufficient. They're short and could definitely be more involved, but they're sufficient. I was most disappointed with the presentation and actual execution of the idea. The flash cards themselves are very small, about the size of a "Chance" or "Community Chest" card in the classic monopoly game. The writing is even smaller, and after a little bit of time studying, it becomes a bit straining on the eyes. The poorest part, however, are the cards themselves. They're not glossy or laminated, such as a nice deck of playing cards. They're just paper, thinner than a notecard. They're easily ripped, would stain with any water or food, ... Read More

I'd like to underscore the comments of others regarding the numerous typos and overall sloppy editing of both the book and CD. It's one thing to have some typos, but it's another thing to have information missing from graphs and completely garbled reading comprehension passages. That some of this information was intended to be there is usually made obvious by the explanations. This will prove frustrating if you're trying to get an accurate gauge of where you stand, especially with the computer based testing. (i.e. If you get wrong answers because information was missing or mistyped, you are still wrong and get different questions than you would have otherwise.) The book is a wonderful resource for anyone who is looking to reveiw basic math skills. The book is color coded according to subject which is really nice. Math on Call is a good resource for teachers, or any adult who wishes to brush up on their math skills or for anyone who is looking to learn new basic math concepts.

Kaplan TOEFL iBT with CD-ROM 2008-2009 (Kaplan Toefl Ibt)I consider this book complete because it have practice tests with detailed answer explanations ,intensive practice for each section of the test and score racing and strategies.Is like a personal tutor at your home.

This book is good for some extra questions, but it by no means contains the hardest questions. Like numerous other reviewers of GMAT books have mentioned, the best prep is to use the official GMAT book. For the toughest questions, I would recommend doing the two tests you can download for free from mba.com when you sign up. Do those tests multiple times because while some questions remain the same, the majority change. If you get better, you'll get to the harder questions. The questions in the Kaplan GMAT 800 are of moderate difficulty. They may be somewhat hard from a straight math point of view, but the questions on the actual GMAT are slightly different and trickier in nature. An interesting book. After many years, Kaplan and Norton have finally conceded that you can't do strategy in isolation from both its context or everything to which it applies. I think its called holism or systems thinking or whatever new buzz-word is currently in use to describe such things. The Balanced Scorecard journey has ended. The king is dead, long live the king. The BSC (and Strategy Maps) now reside as simple tools, amongst many, in a much bigger tool box - exactly where they belong. The art now becomes one of choosing the right tool in the right context. The flaw in the the Execution Premium is the same flaw in all these types of books: attributing success to a questionable cause at best, a false cause at worst.
