Claws of the Dragon continues Cade Skywalker's journey to find himself. He flies by his own moral compass, chief rule of which is - no one dies for me. It's a good code to keep if you have a lifestyle like Cade. His friends are loyal to a fault, and once again, a mysterious stranger comes to haul his butt out of the sith-set fires. All in all, a neat story that takes little to no time at all to read. However, if you really like comic art, it's full of pretty pics to keep you happy for a second or third read through.

If you are a true Star Wars follower and have read everything that is out there about Star Wars..you will enjoyed this comic version. Very well done.

This is the 2nd collected volume in the Star Wars: Legacy series (taking place 125 after Return of the Jedi). It collects issues 8, 4, 9, 10, 13, 11, and 12 from the original comic release. Yes, you read that right. The stories are presented out of order from their first run, though this seems to be a creative choice. This volume is comprised of several smaller arcs detailing the Imperial side of the war, with some one-off tales in between. The stories give an insightful look into Legacy characters including Emperor-in-exile Roan Fel, the traitorous Moffs who first allied with the Sith, and a Stormtrooper squad ordered to eliminate some of their own. I was never into comics before this book. It's the artwork that grabbed my attention. It's beautiful! I'm an avid admirer of original artwork so, these illustrations hit the mark. After reading the entire book (in one sitting) I was in love! The storyline is wonderful and there's so much depth in the characters you can't help but love them or dislike them. At the recent Celebration IV convention, I spotted some more of the volumes and bought books 2 through 4 on the spot. I just love them and I can't wait to get the rest in the series.

If you are a die-hard SW fan, like me, you need to read this. "The Hidden Enemy" was good. It gives the endings for Luminara, and a glimps in-between Quinlan Vos's life before his turn to the dark side and after the purge. "Into the Unknown" was a good showing of what being a Jedi in the Dark Times was like. It also brings in 2 charecters, Bomo Greenbark and Dass Jennir, who are very important to the Star Wars universe between episodes 3-4. "Purge" was alright, but was very predictable. I could tell from the first couple of pages what it would be like. Probably the only not so great story in this comic.

Jedis are great and all, but I really enjoy the war aspect of this series. Vol 1 was good, Vol 2 started really picking up in the last section, and Vol 3 really gets to it--War! Its the volumes like this one that make me wish they had a series devoted to Clone Troopers, Republic Commandos, and ARCs (esp Alpha). Good inking and artwork. Straight-forward plot, almost near constant action, and it was good to see the Republic actually defeated here. Nice character development for Anakin. This volume has been my favorite so far...looking forward to getting Vol 4.
