Well let me start by saying this. I have liked everything Jim Butcher has written. He has gotten better and better with every book. Along comes Backup a very short story about Harry's brother Thomas. It's 70 pages and some of those pages have drawings from Hellboy artist and creator Mike Mignola. So how could it be as good or as deep of a story as his other books? Well it is. He has deepened The Dresden world wonderfully with this short story. It also give a very nice character builder for Thomas. It show's that Harry's older brother could carry a whole series by himself. Hopefully we will see some stories from Thomas's past. Jim does it again. If you like Jim's books then you need to pick this one up.

This is a joke of a book. If I had known what type of a "comic" book this was I would NEVER have purchased it! This book should be labled and put into the comic section. I buy books to READ and not to look at the pictures!

The fourth volume of Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, Captain's Fury continues the adventures of Tavi as he contends with Canim invaders and duplicitous Aleran "allies." At the same time, First Lord Gaius, Bernard, and Amara travel to Kalare to put an end to Kalarus's rebellion. As usual, Butcher stuffs the novel with combat and political intrigue. For A First Time Author, This Book Wasn't Half Bad. I Didn't Like How He Had Put It In A First Person View The Entire Book, And It Seemed All He Did Was Run Around With His Brian Turned Off. Would I Recommend, If Your Bored Then Yes, Otherwise Don't Bother.

Once again, I am fully entertained by a Jim Butcher book. I can't wait for the next one!

Got this from the library just for the Charlaine Harris story. While mildly entertaining, it was not a Sookie Stackhouse short story. For those of us in love with Sook, it' a bit dissapointing. That's not to say everything that Harris writes must be set in that world -- but if she's going to stray I need a bit better than what was included here. Fans can miss this easily....
