As a James patterson fan, I was deeply dissaointed with this book. Its obvious he is just letting his name be attached to books just to make money. This was more predictable, fake, and unrealistic than a silly movie.

I was flipping the pages literally stunned that each event was ACTUALLY happening because it was so stupid and surreal.

Dont waste your time. This book stinks.

Tremendously fast read....Typical Patterson.....I sort of liked it and felt for the main character. Another very quick and easy read, Patterson books are great on audio CD since they are short and easy to follow in the car.

I enjoyed this book, as I enjoy all of Mr. Patterson's books. This story line was quite familiar to me as it reminded slightly of the movie black widow. If I try to explain it, Ill just give it all away just read the book it was suspenseful and not always easy to anticipate which is always a plus. there were unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing and glued to the pages. A great read from an awesome writer.

Books : The Promise of a Lie
Howard Roughan balances reasonable well written suspense with a nearly plausable plot. What he does better than most of this rather sordid genre, is to develop characters that are real, true and believable Dr. David Rembler and Terry Garrett are among them here and their attraction is both palpable and natural. Roughan writings are way above James Patterson (to whom he seemingly owes his career and I don't particulary care for) but not in the Connelly, Coben, Crais or Lehane camp. But don't let that stop you from taking it to the beach or on a plane. It is simply good fun.

Books : The Up and Comer
It's 2 am and I have a 7 am golf tee time. I'm on page 243 and I am wide awake. Why? Because I can't turn the pages to the Up and Comer fast enough. Am I getting my point across? Absolutely one of the finest pieces of fiction to come along. Great character development, perfect plot, a little bit of spice -- all this adds up to the perfect book. Word of advice -- make sure you've got an uninterupted 8 to 12 hours because once you start, you won't stop. Make it 10 Stars for Up and Comer!!!!!!!

Books : Honeymoon: 2005 International Thriller of the Year
This is one of my least-liked books by this author. The book throws out a beginning situation that is hardly discussed through the text, leaving the reader wondering what relevance it had. The only thing that leads the reader on is the curiosity about how that starting scene is going to fit. In the end, it doesn't get meshed in very well. It was also boring and predictable that on almost every page we have to read about how stunning Nora is and that she has fantastic sex the minute she sees one of her boyfriends. Sex seemingly on every other page? Forget it. For this reader, way to much descriptive sex and too little original story.
