This is a wonderful story from a man who really does value Christmas, it's meaning, and the ideals of family, love, forgiveness, and hope.

I was very suprised to become so wrapped up in "Eddie's" story. It was fully engrossing, and a quick read.

It is a new Christmas classic, and I think it is great for anyone in the family.

glenn beck is a simple man, with simple thoughts. he has preconceived notions of the world, and assumes everything must fit into them. i simply must say that i didn't read this book, don't intend to read this book, wouldn't be paid to read this book: just like glenn beck, i know enough about something i don't know anything about to say that this book is boldly terrible.

Ankarlo practically advocates execution of anyone who disagrees with his viewpoints. He especially hates Jews, Catholics, Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics. And he exploits his son's service in the military for his own financial gain. His book is an advertisement to buy his book, advising readers that they can reach idealogical nirvana if they sleep in a bathtub full of his books.

Why do you hate America so much, Mr. Ankarlo? Why do you want to burn the City of Boston to the ground? Every time you open your mouth, George W. Bush weeps. Every time you congratulate yourself for your son's military service, McCain cringes. Every time you mention your book on your show, Cheney nearly has another heart attack. And, yes, when you espouse your "the Republic must fall" viewpoints, even Ann Coulter blushes. ... Read More

7.Glenn Murcutt: A Singular Architectural Practice : 2002 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize by: Glenn Murcutt, Jackie Cooper, Haig Beck

Books : Glenn Murcutt: A Singular Architectural Practice : 2002 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize
This basically documents the architect's work but is not a great book. The photos, although good, are not top quality. There are lots of construction drawings, in a separate section (forcing a lot of flipping back and forth, BTW), but they were not redone for the book, are tiny reproductions of the originals, so not too readable. You usually at least get a floor plan, and some rough sketches in the text section, but the point of the book is not to explain how these buildings are built.

The worst aspect is the commentary by the two authors, mere filler material. The best are the words of the architect himself, who can offer background on all his projects, and who comes across as very sincere.
