This book is a keeper or one to pass on to a dear dear friend. It is very well written, and, to tell you the truth, I could not put it down. It's emotionally alive. It is a womans book, most men would not be interested. It has spiritual insights and Christian truths. I highly recommend it. A very good read.

You will love this story. I found myself envisioning each character and became very caught up in the story. It is harder reading than Redeeming Love but also very good.

I give this book 5 stars for a few reasons. One, it has a couple of subplots that make up the bigger plot, but they are not disjointed and then hastily tied together in the end. The subplots build carefully with interesting character development that make it interesting from the beginning even if you are not sure how they will tie together. Two, the characters are very believable. I enjoy Christian fiction immensely if it is quality and the characters are believable, someone you could picture in real life. I have a hard time finding Christian fiction I enjoy because the characters seem canned and to be perfectly honest, corny. Francine Rivers however is able to develop interesting characters with characteristics and interaction you can find believable and that you can relate to. ... Read More

I actually enjoyed this 2nd installment more because by now I had developed a "trust" with the author and allowed myself to invest more in my hopes and dreams for the characters. I enjoyed that I knew these characters as the book opened and started with a depth that allowed a deeper story. The power of love, patience, and allowing God to work even when He makes no sense to us at the time was heart-wrenching and fulfilling! As with the 1st book in the Mark of the Lion Trilogy (Voice in the Wind), this 2nd installment is extremely well written, historical, spiritual, adventurous, romantic, with characters you love and those you don't ... you will ponder it when you set it down, find today's reality is revealed in a story from 2000 years ago, and be challenged with lessons for your ... Excellent read. Nice to see a book written about the christian daily struggle with a message that says what we all already know but need to hear over and over. One day at a time and never take your focus off the Lord. The only thing that I didn't like was that the story line didn't continue in another book however the Epilogue sufficed.

Francine Rivers knows how to weave a poignant story dealing with profound issues, that are resolved by resounding faith. This story deals with a young woman's journey after rape; and in fact, how everyone else around her deals with it as well.

I read this book in its entirety today. It was a good way to pass the afternoon, and as always I enjoy Francine Rivers' books. However, the actual story part of this book is only about 130 pages (there are devotional-type questions in the back that are additional). The Lineage of Grace books are not on the same level (in either quality or length) as Rivers' other books like Redeeming Grace or the Mark of the Lion series. I would definitely recommend reading the Lineage of Grace series, but you might want to just borrow this book from the library and save money, since it will only take a couple hours to read.

I found this author a year ago and have loved every book I have read by her. I think this may be my favorite yet.

I have read almost all of her books and I have enjoyed each and every one. This book did not disappoint me. It was much better than the movie.

This book was very well written. I was told it was good and it was even better than expected. The study or discussions at the end of the book are insightful and make one think.
