The illustrations/re-creations from the skeletons along with the time line is the best done I've ever seen and kept me fascinated. Writing is excellent and challenging.

The author is a very nice man, for whom I heard speak about this book. I too have been at the top of Half Dome. The hike is a challenge in and of itself. There are warning signs as you approach Half Dome's final assent, which states of the perils of lightning. It advises that lightning strikes Half Dome each month of the year. As clouds approach, one has to ask themselves, should I risk this climb? One needs all of their faculties about them as they climb up the steep ladder needed to reach the summit of Half Dome. Increasing peril of lightning could be a distraction during the climb. The climb is not a time to lose focus in your climb. Others have fallen to their deaths from this climb. I recieved this teaching program as a gift. I, too, at first thought that this gentleman was a showman/promoter. He plays! He is the first teacher who speaks clearly, describes technique and is confident in his manner. I am using this course to become "as one" with my three guitars. Next, I will go back to the course that is teaching me music and theory. This program is well worth the money and learning time.

For those of us who have been starving since finishing Mercer's 'Welcome to the Jungle' or Fusco's 'English Is Broken Here', this is an excellent book to add to your reading list. Through complex theory and deep analysis, Munoz effectively articulates what many of us know but have difficulty proving to others: lesbian and gay artists of color are producing some of the nation's and the world's most revolutionary and counterhegemonic work. I am especially impressed that he examines work by Black, Latino, and Asian gays. This is a much-needed book for anyone who would like to see people of color come together in coalition. You will be impressed with Munoz's creation. This is not Hemphill's 'Brother to Brother' or Moraga's 'This Bridge Called My Back.' Some readers will be put off by the semiotic language Munoz uses. go figure my luck....after years of seeking out a comprehensive 'photo' book on this famed spanish unit that fought for hitler in WW2, i end up with a book about the administrative troops (auditors, lawyers etc.) that did the freakin paperwork for the grunts who were doing the fighting at the front. Essentailly it's a book about the pencil pushers behind the scenes...yawwwnn. Anyways the book does contain some nice images (400?+). I should have paid close attention to the title as this would have CLUED me in, but the cover and the large quantities of pics "blinded" me to a certain extent. look...if you're into the minutia of the 'monthly expense reports' of this famed division...well knock yourself out. geezzz........

It doesn't offer anything more than the First Aid Step 2CK book. It is in case format, but without a question format like the exam, so it wasn't too helpfull.

I purchased as a gift for my daughter-in-law, the NIV is so easily read,and with the notes at the bottom of each page, helps a person understand what a verse is saying or means, especially a beginner in the Word. The cover on this Bible is durable, as well as attractive to carry. Having it in Spanish was so very helpful to her as she was just learning our English language. A quality Bible to give as a gift.
