I'm starting to like this series (The Oregon Files) as much as the original Dirk Pitt series. The Adventures of Juan Carbillo are filled with all of the stuff that has made Clive Cussler novels some of the best reading of our time.

This was one of the most exciting, fast paced books that I have read in a long time. There were many twists that kept you guessing. I was unable to put it down. I just had to keep going to see what was going to happen next. The action just never stopped. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a fast paced action mystery story. Clive Cussler has really delivered with this installment in the Dirk Pitt series.

I'm a Clive Cussler fan, so it pains me to say that this one was an awful disappointment. There was way too much description & not enough dialogue. I wound up skimming a lot of it & then lost interest in the characters & the plot. I finally gave up about halfway through. This one just didn't engage me at all.

This Cussler was absolutely fascinating, and educational. Hard to leave it for the next time in my car.

I though I had read all of the older Cussler books when I discovered Dragon. It turns out this is one of Cussler's better Dirk Pitt books, not that I did not like most of them. If you like Cussler at all, you will really enjoy Dragon.

This was the first Cussler book I've read. (Just finished it last night.) Though not a work of classic literature, I throughly enjoyed the ride! Thinking that the story was going to be about treasure hunting off the coast of Greece, I was very pleasantly surprised to find an action\thriller that focused on a former Nazi and heroin smuggling. Can't wait to get to Iceberg.
