This is my first read by Christopher Reich. I've heard so many great reviews on it that I just had to try it. I'm in the middle of the book and it seems very well-written. However the storyline is confusing with twists, turns, and way too many characters that i'm finding it a bit difficult to follow at times. I'm not putting it down though... perhaps it will get better. But, I'm usually enthralled by now. Not this time.

Christopher has entwined the characters very skillfully making The Patriot's Club suspenseful all the way to the end! What transpires in this story could easily happen in real life. Excellent read!

the book is effectively a page-turner - I read it in 3 days. I only hope it's really fictional, for it paints Swiss bankers in a very black light!

I took the time to finish this book, hence three stars. The setting in post WW II Germany seemed well researched and was fascinating. The rest of the plot and characterization was more preposterous than Jason Bourne, and far less exciting and entertaining. The historical twists were somewhat thought provoking. Could an Allied General who fought Nazis be one?

I've enjoyed many of Christopher Reich's books, and while this one is not his best (Numbered Account was far better), it was an enjoyable read. The overall plot was somewhat predictable, with terrorists, the French, and the fish out of water smarter than he appears American boy - but it had enough story twists (although most were slight) to keep me reading. A good take on the plane on a business trip book.

Superior writing by Reich, capably narrated, excellent story with a new take on an interesting piece of history - postwar Berlin and Germany as East and West grapple for power. Having listened to "Numbered Account" this is a more plausible, captivating story with believable characters.
