The Nioxin Smoothing Protectives Shampoo is an excellent product. However, that is not what I received. Although I requested the Smoothing Protectives Shampoo, I received the Number 7 Nioxin Shampoo and the Nioxin manufacturer said that it was repackaged and that it was the same product. I tried the #7 Nioxin Shampoo about a year ago and after shampooing it felt as if I had lacquered my hair with hair spray. I would probably switch to another brand before trying that #7 shampoo again.
