I discovered Billy Jealousy at The Shave of Beverly Hills while trying out 4-5 new creams. Hydroplane stood out from the rest and I've been using it ever since. The Shave no longer carries it, so now I buy it on Amazon. It's also at Nordstrom. What's great about it is that the lube never fades while on your face, so when you need to go over a rough patch again, you can just smear it around and shave away. Feels good. Smells good. I strongly recommend it!

now i have tried all different sorts of shaving products over the years. it was the shaving cream in a can when i first started out then to the gels and so on. within the past 2 years i've been trying out "top quality, department store brands." so i guess i've become somewhat of a snob when it comes to shaving creams. i started out with "the king of shaves" which makes for an excellent close shave with little razor burn if any. it is extremely slick but washes off very easily if u are shaving in the shower. although this is not a department store brand i hold it in the same league as some of the bests. i've also tried zirh which has a nice tingle, gives a very close comfortable shave but sometimes i will get a cut now and then. so far the lab series for men comfort shaving ... After a lifetime of using shaving cream out of a can, I decided to try this product. After reviewing some instructional videos on youtube, I have found that making my own shaving cream takes only a few minutes. I had originally bought a very cheap shaving brush (about $4) and did find a better quality brush worked better, I spent about $13 for my new badger hair brush. I have found my face doesn't dry out as much with the tube shaving cream and I get a closer shave.

While this is a great product, I enjoy using my Merkur Futur 4 Piece Shaving Set - Polished Finish-#751- Made in Germany with a badger brush. My prefered shave is a pre-shave oil Anthony Logistics Pre-Shave Oil and then application of a rich cream Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol Shaving Cream 150 ml.. With that said for quick(er) shave, or when you are traveling and don't want to take a brush, oil and cream -- this stuff is great -- smooth shave with total convenience.

I've shaved with and without the pre-shave oil for over a month. I notice no difference what so ever. I was hoping this would make my razor glide a bit better, and it definitely didn't help with that. I do like the after shave lotion though.

I use this shave oil with an old fashioned safety razor and some great shaving cream (Taylor of Old Bond St. Avocado). It's an excellent product and very easy on my sensitive skin, but I have to say that I prefer Art of Shaving's lavender-scented oil. Personal taste is all.

This stuff is okay, but not worth the price for me. The heat feeling is nice, but it doesn't do anything for the comfort of the shave itself. I expected a better experience.

This is OK, but now that I've moved on to Truefitt and Hill I can't go back. Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Shaving Cream, 5.8 oz. The Proraso makes a much thinner lather, and requires you to whip it much more feverishly. It also requires using significantly more of it, meaning that the apparent price savings isn't really a savings.

I haven't looked at a shaving cream since I saw the light and switched to shaving soap and a brush but I received a sample of this product in an order from Details for Men (Highly Recommended Dealer). I have to admit this worked really well. It was by far the best shave I've ever gotten from a cream. I wouldn't replace my soap/brush with it but I might get some to take when I travel to save some room. It has eucalyptus in it so it does "tingle" a little. If your a cream user, give it a try. I think you will be very pleased.

I've tried The Gentleman's Refinery pre-shave oil (TGR makes an outstanding but pricey shaving cream), but it pales in comparison to Truefitt & Hill's Ultimate Comfort pre-shave oil--- a great smelling product that really sets your beard up for a super shave. If you have sensitive skin, this will help eliminate nicks & razor burn and (because it smells and feels so great) you will actually look forward to/enjoy shaving in the morning- seriously!
