I just got my kit today and am so in love! It is easy to use, covers well and is easy to touch up if need be. This includes both fair and fairly light. Fair is very light and fairly light is a tad darker, a bit too dark for my skin however I found a great use for it. Warmth, a foundation primer and 3 brushes complete the set. You start by applying the primer, just a tad all over your face. It helps refine your pores a bit and I think it may help the make up stick. Then you use the swirl, tap, buff method to apply your foundation. You can mix colors, mix with warmth or just use the single color and apply. Bare Minerals has been great to me and my skin. Normally I am allergic to everything and either break-out or get all itchy with a rash. I've never had any problems with this facial foundation type product. it's so light, the only reason I use it, as I have never worn liquid foundation or face make-up of any kind. My mom was absolutely "Stunning" and turned heads and caused car accidents. I was just getting to the point in my life when it was time to get the "how to" advice for applying make-up, now that i've hit the 30 mark. My mom passed away on my 30th birthday and took her simple little secrets of "what to do and what not to do." I would appreciate any help or advice. I have this product and it is wonderful....I keep this in my purse so I can touch myself up after work if I'm going out....the colors are really delicate and natural (I'm fair skinned with black hair, and every color works exceedingly well), and they hold up well, they also blend really well....my only complaint is that the brushes are a little to be desired, so you might want to keep your own in your bag....other than that, it's a stellar kit, with a lot of good combinations, and it's small enough to take on the go, some of the makeup colors are kind of glittery, but not so much that you feel like a disco ball when you wear it.....best makeup kit....ever

It has nice sized pans of attractive, good-quality product. The 16 shadows and 16 glosses are 1 inch square each. The bronzer and powder are 2 inch square each and the 4 blushes are 2inch by 3/4 inch rectangles. The colors are earthy browns, grays, plums, greens and neutrals. The glosses are pinks, peaches and plums. The blushes are pinks, peaches, and a rose color. They have a nice amount of pigment so they look nice for a long time. I used to really love Bare Minerals..... until I found out about the ingredient Bismuth Oxychloride. At first my face LOVED this stuff. But after a few months of using it I noticed that when I wore it my face would be itchier then usual. I also started breaking out a LOT more then usual. It wasn't until I did some investigative work that I found out about that Bismuth ingredient and how heavy it is on your face. The whole reason you have to BUFF the makeup on is because the Bismuth Oxychloride is so heavy that it needs to be PUSHED into your skin. I noticed that my makeup felt and eventually looked like it slid off my face BECAUSE of how heavy it really is (you wouldn't think it was a heavy makeup being that it's mineral powder!)
