Our 4 year old son used to wake up every night at 1 and 5, and couldn't go back to sleep unless one of us sat on his bed with him. He saw this turtle in a magazine and BEGGED to have it. I was skeptical, but his grandmother went ahead and got it. From the first night, he has stayed in his room the whole night! When he wakes up in the middle of the night, he turns on the comforting turtle's light, which can be changed to amber yellow, blue, or green. It works beautifully in my kids' small room, with a low celing, but I think it looks good in other bigger rooms we tried. My kids LOVE the stars; it really calms them. My husband and I think its so romantic, too! Added bonus is how the light shuts off automatically after 45 min. This product is a MUST if your kid is scared of the dark.

This is a GREAT invention. My son didn't have much trouble falling asleep at home, but the car was another story all together. If he was tired and due for a nap and we were driving he would cry and cry. Once we got this and I used it at night at home to help him fall asleep, he associated the calming sounds with sleep. The big test was a 4 hour car ride and after some initial fuss, he actually fell asleep after my soothing and turning on the sleep sheep. I was so relieved. We don't use it every night at home, but on most occasions we do and I think this really helps him feel secure and calm.

My husband bought the Cloud b Sleep Sheep On the Go eight or nine months ago, before my son was born. The insert that plays the sounds could not be secured inside the soft body, oddly enough. It sounds as if the sheep must be defective (based on all of the glowing reviews), but we could not get anyone to respond from the Cloud B company. Since we'd had a horrible experience returning items to Amazon only a few weeks before getting this, we kept it, figuring that we could still use the sounds. And, the sheep is very cute and super soft! When I tried the item again after my son was born, I could not get the sounds to play. So, I changed the batteries. Nope. Still, no sound. I think it's a great product. My son is seven months old and seems fascinated by it. I also like that it comes with batteries-that's convenient. The one thing that is a bit frustrating-the stars get blurry if you have it far away from the ceiling, even five feet away, which is a normal height dresser. Also, it needs to be in the center of the room, so that makes it difficult to have it up close to the ceiling. Overall, great product-just frustrated by placement of turtle needed for optimal results.

This is a cute item and we like that it supports conservation efforts, however the stars are HUGE.. When we put the turtle on a table (3 feet off the ground) in her room the stars shine on the ceiling and walls about two inches wide. They are also really dim and it has to be really dark to see them. We expected that the stars would be smaller that there would be more of them. Based on the photos and their 'promotion' that you could see 'constillations' it was not exactly what we expected.

Love it. Don't hesitate...buy this product. It smells wonderful and is very soft. Good cuddle size. I bought this for my new niece and now plan to order one for myself.

I love this product. I had a devil of a time getting my boys to sleep in their owns rooms. This product saved my sanity and gave them a very peaceful and gentle way to get used to falling asleep alone and in their rooms. I even have been know to turn it on when they are already asleep and just look around the room. It is so soothing.

I originally purchased this item for my almost 7-year old who was having issues falling asleep at night. He insisted on leaving the lights up high at bedtime because he was afraid and had problems winding down at night. He claimed his brain would start thinking about scarey things when he tried to go to bed and prefered to 'read' himself to sleep with the lights on. This resulted in a way too late bedtime! We finally decided we had to find a way to make 'lights out time' fun. This did the trick. We now have 'turtle time' by a certain time at night and can shut off the lights with no problem. We also play a sound machine that has crickets chirping and other night time sounds, so he feels like he is out camping under the stars in the comfort of his own bed. I really like this item as a gift. The cloths are very soft and work very well. They clean up easily. They are very well made. The price is good if you look at other organic cloths. The presentation is really nice. The little soft animals are very well made and smell very nice.
