I love this Magic Cube. It was a gift from a friend, and is a fantastic toy. The musical selection is good, the quality of the tones is also quite good. It is the first interactive toy my four month old baby figured out how to use, though he tends to hit the sides with his feet rather than his hands. You won't regret this one!

This is a nice car seat and fits the needs of a beefy 3-year old who still needs a 5-pt harness but was too big (height & Weight) for more common 40-lb limit seats. It is comfortable and should last my son until he can sit in a backlees booster or without a booster. The problem areas are getting a 37-lb 40-inch tall child in and out, especially with a thick winter coat. The arm rests do not raise up, so it is like getting out of an armchair. Also, the buckle seems to stick, and I have a hard time unlatching it. The buckle that comes up from the crotch has no easy way to keep it forward when getting in, so my son always ends up sitting square on top of it and I have to reach under his bum and fish for the mechanism and pull it back up between his legs. Finally, as it is a convertible seat, ... Read More

When my daughter was born, I searched high and low for this turtle, ignoring bad reviews on the internet. I wanted to see it myself, and finally found it at a kid's boutique when my daughter was a few months old.
True, no one has a tall dresser in the middle of a room, which would be the most desired place for this product to sit for it to work as intended. Still, it could be placed on a high book case and the stars will light up the wall and be faint on the ceiling. Green and blue lights work best. Amber can hardly be seen.
When the batteries went out, I bought some and discovered that the batteries that came with the turtle (included as a "TRY ME" advantage) had corroded. They really didn't last long, and I figured that was why. Needless to say, new batteries didn't ... Read More

We purchased this for my daughter just shy of her 4th month. She was the type that always wanted to be held. You could put her down, but nothing held her attention for more than 5 minutes before she wanted to be picked up. The first time she used it she stayed nearly 20 minutes. We have had it for a month now and she can play by herself for almost an hour now and be happy as a lark the whole time. I am still amazed at how happy she is in this thing. Now if I can just figure out how to fit it in the car for long trips. That's it's only downside, it's kind of big. My wife has decided it's the best thing we have bought her (so far).

Baby : Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat - Graystone

We've been using the Britax Marathon for about a month now and it seems to be great. It was easy to install and seems to be very comfortable. I also like how easy it is to buckle my 12m old son. One thoughtful feature is the strips of velcro that allow you to secure the straps to the side as I place my son in the seat. That way I don't have to fish the straps out from underneath him. The only problem was that the straps that are used to secure the car seat to the car were installed backwards by the manufacturer. My husband was able to fix it in about an hour, but it was really frustrating. Otherwise, it's a great car seat.

The Lamaze peacock was one of the first toys we were given for our son. Personally, I think he's fun to look at. Jacques the peacock made me want to run out and see what other toys Lamaze has... unfortunately, I think I've already got the best one. From the first week (and I mean, less than one week of age here), my son was enthralled by the back of Jacques. This is really a great toy for newborns to look at - the red, white, and black high contrast back is very interesting and stimulating to young babies (they can't see in color yet).

I think this toy was a life-saver when my son was less than a month old, because he would get distracted by it hanging in his crib and he would actually agree to lay in there! Recently, he hasn't been as interested in this toy, perhaps because some of his others are easier ... Read More

My son got A LOT of use out of this play mat. He used it for about 6 months or so...just till he could start scooching off the mat to check out other things. What I really liked about this is the removable toys. I took them off and attached them to his stroller and walker, so while he's now too old for the mat, he's still getting use of the little hanging toy that come with it!

My only complaint is this doesn't fold up, so it does take up a bit of room when not in use. I also had a Baby Einstein play mat, but my son didn't enjoy it as much as he did this one...however...the Baby Einstein mat folded in half, so storing it out of the way was nice. Overall, I absolutely recommend this mat! My boy just loved it, so it was money very well spent!

The Superyard XT is just what we needed. We already had gates on the stairs but our little one who recently found his new freedom that crawling allowed didn't want to stay in the living room and play with his toys any longer. All he wanted to do is explore. We actually have the Superyard stretched out and runs from the fireplace across the hallway to the stairs blocking off his access to a bathroom and kitchen. It stays stable with some small kinks at the joints so it's not in a straight line that he can't knock it down. It's high enough that he can't get over but low enough for a teenager and above to step over.

10.Sophie La Girafe from: Calisson
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Baby : Sophie La Girafe

My daughter adored her Le Sophie Girafe, and was teething when we lost it at the store. Though it is quite distinctive and we called that day and several thereafter, no one had turned it in. So, being sensitive to our girl's favorite chewy, we bought another on Amazon. When it arrived, I noticed that it was shorter, squatter, and flimsier than the first. Naturally, it also sounded different when it squeaked. We gave it to my daughter, and while she will ocassionally hold it and whack it on the ground, it is just another toy. It isn't like the other enough to hold her attention. So, if you only buy one and never lose it, it might be a favorite. However, each one may be different.
