While they are not as warm as my wigwam 40 below socks, they seem warm enough, and they are so very soft and very comfortable to wear. I love to hike. And Smarwool makes the very best hiking sock. They are comfortable, and I have never had a blister with these socks. If you add a plypro liner, they are even better. This comination wicks the moisture away, and keeps your feet comfortable regardless of the temperature and humidity. And they very sturdy and last a long time. This is true whether you are on a day hike, or if you are on a multi-day backpacking trip. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I like to jog at the park in the morning. Sometimes the grass is wet, with dew and my running shoes get soaked. It doesn't matter that much when it's warm, but now that the weather is cooler, I needed to try something. These socks work. When I wear these socks, with a light sock underneath them, my feet stay comfortably warm and dry. After the run, the inner socks are wet from perspiration, but dry from the grass. I guess that wearing these socks for more than a couple of hours would result with enough sweat inside them to be about equal to not wearing waterproof socks, but for an hour run, they work great.

Very comfy once we snipped off the scratchy tag at the back of the neck. I like that it's made in the USA. My son wears these for pj's & they're perfect for times when the blanket sleeper is too warm. Sizing is accurate.
