I purchased these shorts locally (and later through Amazon) because of the fit. I'm petite and usually the rise is too high--these sit below the waist, have a little stretch, they're modest (middle of the knee for me) and crisp. They wash well and dry quickly. I wear these 6 days a week (uniform), and these are wonderfully comfortable. The price is great too. I ordered a similar pair from another company (signature brand) and when I got them they were too small, but made almost identical to the Dickies. They were $48, so I returned them and bought 2 more pairs of Dickies. The Dickies are definitely worth every bit of their price.

Love these. I have them in 4 colors and live in them all summer. Very comfortable, flattering. They aren't made for anyone over a size 9 though(or maybe a size 11 if you're solid not flabby). I am a size 9 with baby belly flab - the larges fit great except they cut into the flab in an unappealing way so I ordered the extra large - doesn't look as good on my bum but avoids the waist bulge. These would've been perfect in my pre kids days! HAve had them several years and they are still looking good so the fabric holds up just fine.

The belt actually makes these short look even cuter! I got the Mushroom Madras which is a little gray-green, and looks very casual and vacation-ready. Very nice. I love them!
