I've been in scouting for years and had some really crappy boots. I finally took the advice given in training and had someone who knew about boots check out my feet, my walk and all that. They recommended these boots (and the version before). I absolutely love them. They fit ME. I suggest if you are looking at these boots, check with someone who will fit YOU, then buy these if they are on your list. Worst case story on these boots: I wore them on an ATV outing in Mexico and was completely covered in mud. At the end of the trip, to clean off, I just walked into the ocean, boots and all to get the mud off. They smelled a little fishy after that but held up well. crocs pretty soft and don't hurt my feet like some copies. However, the rivit that holds the ankle strap to the side of the shoes broke on the first wearing. Crocs' company promptly send out rivits to make the repair to the strap. This strap breaking is something I've had a problem with on several pairs of crocs copies. Crocs $30, crocs copies as low as $.99 (.99 Stores) I'm not sure the true crocs are worth the much higher price.

I just got these today and already found a place to wear them! They are immediately comfortable with the padded insole and even though the back of the shoe is not exactly soft, I wore it without any problems. I do have a wide foot and the shoe fit perfectly and true to size. The brown is dark and chocolatey which I also love. Best of all is all this for so little $$!

The Ugg Cove in Fieldstone leather is a great alternative to Ugg's usual suede outer, because the oiled leather doesn't require so much maintenance. That means you can wear the boot out in the cold and not worry so much about 'slicking up' the outside of the suede boot when it gets wet! The only thing I do not like as well is that Cove does not have the sheepskin insole that the regular Classic Uggs do have. If you will search Amazon for "Ugg insole" you will find several vendors who sell the sheepskin insoles you can simply add to this boot! Very well made shoes. I was surprised how comfy they are. I do recommend to order a 1/2 size larger they do run small. I bought them for the working out @ the gym only but, there so lite and comfy yet sturdy feeling I feel that I'm ready to go. I've been wearing them for every day use.

I have had these boots for 5 years now (I have them in both black and brown) and they still fit and feel great. I have had them each resoled once. The leather is soft but durable, and wears well. They sort of have a cowboy rugged feel, but still enough style to wear them with a skirt. I read the review about the wide calf area. I didn't find this at all (I don't think I have big calves (I weigh 120) but who knows. I find they are one of the few boots that fit well under a tighter boot cut jean. They are not "snug" around the calf, but the boots don't "show" or "snag" (meaning there is enough room to wear under (not tucked in) a pair of jeans (or at least the ones I wear). I still get compliments on these kickers. Gotta love that. FRYE makes a great shoe.
