I finally made an investment in real Rainbow sandals instead of continuously buying and chucking the Target knock-off ones. So far, I'm happy. I haven't had much opportunity to wear them, since it's getting to be winter. But I like them, they're what I expected. My only complaint is that it's taking quite a while to really break them in, which is not too fun.

I bought a pair of rainbows, at 50 bucks, for the same reason that I'm sure anyone does; the "lifetime" guarantee. After two months of daily wear the bottom sole wore thru to the middle sole so I contacted Rainbow and this is the reply I received: "I'm sorry, but wear and tear on the sandals is not covered by the guarantee. The life of the sole or top sole depends on the wearer of the sandal. Some peoples sandals last longer than others. Personally, I can wear into the middle layer from the bottom sole in one month. These are the most comfortable flip-flops I've owned in a while! I usually wear them for hours while I am on my feet and have no problems what so ever. The only down fall about these is that when they arrive they will be very tight/snug and will hurt your feet, I got some blisters and they were painful to wear but once I broke them in, they feel like tennis shoes. Definitely recommend if you are willing to deal with a few blisters for a week or so!

My girls went to Asia for community service camp and they came back saying that 'everyone' from the States were wearing these Rainbow sandals (leather flip flops). We're from Canada and couldn't find any stores carrying them here so we checked out the Buffalo sites and again no one carried them. Apparently they're only carried in the west coast and shipping was the only option for us. The soles mold to our feet but I find that the thong part is a little hard and gave me some sore spots on the inside of my 2nd toe for a while (hope it gets softer with wear).

I've been wearing the leather version of these shoes for years and was a little nervous about trying the hemp version (why mess with perfection?). Fortunately, I'm happy to report that these are every bit as good as their leather counterparts; plus they're cheaper, and the cloth on the foot-bed keeps your foot from sliding around (which is sometimes a problem with the leather ones; especially when they get wet).

I have four pairs of Rainbows, and this is my favorite pair. All of my Rainbows are really comfortable, but these are also very cute because they have the narrow strap instead of the wide strap. The hemp is much lighter than the narrow strap leather pair (which gave me blisters), so I always wear these when I want the narrower strap.
