This shoe really works the muscles in your legs and back. The first couple of days I had a back ache and couldn't figure out why. I then realized it was the shoes really working my muscles. Since then I have worn them everyday. They are the first shoes I put on in the morning and I wear them as much as possible because they are so comfortable. I can't wait until they come out with a shoe for winter, because I hate giving these up.

As a person who's grown too old and rickety for conventional flipflops--I need a lot more support than they provide--these shoes have been a godsend. The sole is thick and resilent, the upper comfortable. I wouldn't recommend walking miles and miles in them, for for around the house or a trip to the beach, they're terrific.

I have no idea whether the FitFlops are toning any of my body but I do know they are comfortable and easy to walk in. I commute to Manhattan everyday and do a lot of walking between client meetings. Unlike conventional flip-flops, the Fitflops are thick enough to keep my feet away from the pavement and out of dirty rainwater. They also stay on for those quick dashes thru traffic.

First off, I have to say that they're not as pretty as in the picture -- regardless of size, they will look big in relation to your foot and the colors aren't as crisp as photographed. But they're not ugly. What primarily attracted me to these FitFlops is the promise of the workout.
