Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - From Confessions to Confections
It's been three years since the disco flavors of Confessions on a Dancefloor. Madonna returns with another dance album, Hard Candy, though these confections have a harder edged, bass flavor, encouraging new fans to give the cd a spin while challenging loyal fans to widen their own musical appreciation.

Favorite tracks are: Candy Shop (sexy, "talky" Madonna extolling the turkish delights and other goodies for sale), Give It 2 Me (best song on the album, driving "Express Yourself"-type gem, nice breakdown), Heartbeat (see my booty get down, indeed), Beat Goes On (second best song, original change of register during the chorus, beautiful chorus), and Dance2nite (Justin stands out here, partnering with Madonna on a mid-tempo "Everybody" groove - just lovely).

Least favorite tracks (only 2): First Single 4 Minutes didn't rise to the majestic occasion of a lead-off Madonna single. I find it semi-boring, a mish-mash. Sorry. Second least favorite is Spanish Lesson. I've enjoyed Madonna's prior latin flavors, including La Isla Bonita, but this one leaves me a little flat, wanting more.

All in all, I rate this a 5-star Madonna effort. I love the change in direction, challenging us as she works to update and grow her music. I'm looking forward to the Sticky and Sweet Tour, to experience some of these gems live onstage.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Some good songs make it worth it
I've been a Madonna fan forever, and I think you have to give it to her for continuing to bring us some great music. The album is inconsistent and some songs you gotta skip, but there's enough good stuff here for a good album -- my favorite is Give it 2 me, I dig the ska dance beat.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - We're growing older together, Madonna and I and
I would be really embarrassed to sing some of these songs. Even with my teen nieces. I like tracks 3 and 4, but some of this stuff, well ... it's just not going to age well. Not that some of her earlier work isn't a tad girlish and young, but she did record those when she was girlish and young. I remember when Liza Minelli did her dance/electronica record with the the Pet Shop Boys and people said " oh my God, she is so old ..." I think Madonna is older than that now. Right, Miss One-Stop Candy Shop? Get back into the groove cuz you only got 4 minutes to save the world.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Amazing!
Beeing short... buy it and scape having just the normal version of the album. It's worthy. Why? Well... the artist needs no introductions... she's unique!
The product... it's simply amazing. And I'm telling this not for the candies that came within (they make you think it has a flavor, but when you taste it, there comes a surpise!) but for the iniciative and the quality.
The odds: I just think we could have a better device to really close the box and to support the booklet inside. Besides, a material that attract less fingerprints over the box' cover and the booklet would be better.

The content... it's reaveling itself each day SWEETY and impossible to stop listening, though I didn't like every songs. But as SHE wold say it... Noboby's perfect!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - madonna doesn't disappoint on this one....
well, this has more hardcore dance grooves than the confessions album. on the previous album, i think madonna was gearing for more radio friendly songs, this album has more of a club feel to it with a harder edge. basically, you'd still be dancing even after a few drinks lol! so everyone knows 4 minutes and give it to me *those songs sound so much better on the cd/mp3 than on youtube!* here are some other songs that i think kick a$$: candy shop, heartbeat *my #1 pick on the album*, miles away, incredible, beat goes on, dance tonight. all the songs sound way better on the finished product that on any online video site. for her last album with warner, she def. went out with a huge bang...but hey, she's madonna right? remember when we had her records and cassette tapes back in the 80s? so a definite good choice to add to your music collection~
