I was happy to see George was a well constructed machine and the plates slipped on and off without a hitch. I might add that they cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher too. The hamburgers I made were delicious and I appreciated being able to do the grilling without having to stand outside in the cold using the BBQ or making a mess frying them on the stove top. Yes, my machine has to be easy to use and easy to clean and not make a bigger mess than the machines I would normally use or I'm not interested.

I read the gal's review about making her waffles using Bisquick. She was happy, but I wasn't. I like my waffles soft too. I tried using different temperatures and different cooking times and they came out golden brown and hard. Ok, I'm comparing this to our old cheapie Procter-Silex "Belgian" waffle maker which turned out a pretty good waffle but is so small it just won't keep up with us these days. I expected it to be different but not this different. In a word.....I'm disappointed with George's waffles. If you like a good "chew" then this is your machine.

Overall we're pretty happy with George. I think the waffles come out of the machine a little easier if you spritz the griddles with a bit of Pam.

This easy to use, smartly-designed machine has already made itself worth its while in our home. The plates are easily interchangeable, easy to clean and actually non-stick, which I often question with other kitchen products.

As with our previous George Foreman grill, the small original, this one cooked everything perfectly. So far we've done chicken, fish and vegetables, and the cooking times in the manual are just right. Waffles we made were magnificent -- big, fluffy and perfectly golden, based on the cooking time recommended in the manual.

I recommend reading the manual before you use this, as there are some things I didn't realize beforehand, such as how to tilt and flatten the machine. This is something that, like me, you may not realize until the grill is already hot and it's too late to switch. However, I would have liked to see more recipes in the manual, since the addition of the baking tray is a bit mystifying to me. I wish they'd give us more ideas of ways to use it. Of course, the next time I make cookies, that tune may change.

Works great, my wife loves it because it replaced several of our other cooking items. It also has ease of storage. I would recomend this item for any serious cook to purchase.
