...not as good as the GHD that I used to have but still a good purchase for me. I was looking for something to replace the GHD that I had before but didn't want to pay as much. At the same time, i didn't want anything too cheap because those things take too long to straighten my hair because they don't get hot enough or maintain their temperature.

i think it is a great product. The only bad thing is that it does not close all the way so i had to use my hands to press it to work

Rating: - Not worth all the hype
This product came highly recommended to me by my hair stylist. On faith, I purchased the product even though it seemed rather expensive. So far, I have not found any difference in quality between the Farouk CHI and other similar, less expensive products. I would suggest that you try it out first before you buy it. Definitely not worth all the hype.

Rating: - The only flat iron that works on my THICK CURLY hair
I had tried many flat irons before I broke down and bought the CHI. Believe me, it's worth every penny I paid for it!

I have VERY thick, curly hair (so thick, everyone who ever cuts/styles it comments on how it's the thickest hair they've ever seen). The CHI gets my hair straight in a very short period of time. I only have to straighten each section once, instead of over and over again like with other flat irons. The straightening typically holds until my hair gets wet and curls up again. I also feel like the CHI isn't as damaging on my hair as other flat irons, because I don't have to expose my hair to the heat for as long. My hair is still plenty shiny, even though I flat iron twice a week.

You won't regret your investment in the CHI.

Rating: - The Chi
I absolutely love this hair straightener. It makes a huge difference in the quality and sleekness than the other straighteners I have had.
I have curly hair and before the Chi the humidty down here in south florida would determine whether I went straight or curly that day. With the Chi it doesn't matter! I was out and it drizzled on my hair at the end of a south florida summer and my hair stayed smooth and straight! =)
